Thread: housing question
You can buy a house from most Architects. Make sure the house deed says that it can be placed on the planet you'd like to put it on since there are different types of houses for different planets.
Once you have the house deed you can place it by using the deed from your inventory. You'll need to be at least 500m away from NPC cities and not in a Player City that has zoning enabled. The screen will change when you use the deed and bring up the placing screen. You can place the house anywhere that shows green. If it shows red, it's a no-build area. Yellow is an area that is temporarily unavailable, generally due to a creature spawn.
Once it's placed, make sure you put maintenance in it from the Structure Terminal. That terminal is also where you create vendors and allow others access to your structure. In order to place a vendor, you'll need to make the structure public using the "Set Privacy" option. This lets people come in and out, but they can't take anything. If you want to give someone else the ability to pick things up or drop items, putting them on the admin list will give them access.
Hope this helps!
House without maintenance means creds taken directly from your bank account and once the bank account go to 0, house is comdemned and no one can enter it until you pay back the maintenance. You can easily add maintenance for a few months in your house. All mine are paid for a godd 6 months so I don't have to bother every week with them.
