Thread: Crafting Macro?

To clarify I don't mean traditional macro's i.e. cheat software. But rather SWG macros, which are in game command scripts and perfectly acceptable. Mind you mining would be extremely tediouswithout them.

I am just looking for one to speed up the selections in crafting, something that may do like mentioned above, select the schematic, choose the materials, generate, the name and so on. So I don't have to click 10,000 times an hour. Once or twiceper item would be nice. And an acceptable compriomise for the nerf'd factory.

I am not at all opposed to the change in Xp so much as the fact I know will lose fingers and have to replace mice more than I should ever have to.

Well got this off the SWGCRAFT boards.

Well, if you weren't practicing, you could do this:
F1 : Crafting tool
F2 : Crafting tool

F3 : macro: /ui action toolbarSlot00;/selectDraftSchematic 17
(this selects a Mineral Survey device for me, more on the numbering later or in other posts)

F4 : macro: /nextCraftingStage;/nextCraftingStage;/createPrototype;/createPrototype

F5 : macro /ui action toolbarSlot01;/selectDraftSchematic 17

You hit F3, it loads the resource crafting screen, you double click like crazy on the metal, you hit f4, it completes and exits. you hit f5, and double click like crazy on metal, hit f4 it completes and exits. Easy, and very very very fast. But it creates items, not practices. I can churn out lots of survey devices a minute with this.

Its prettyy nift but does not work with practice mode from what I hear.. kinda strange. No one can figure out how to hit the practice button when it stays there when I craft by clicking?...Who knows but this is one quick way I guess.

Has anyone figured out a way to make a decent macro for crafting? If so, care to share? The chef grind is really starting to get to me, and I think I may go to the dark side of macros for a little bit.

Can a crafting macro be created? I've tried doing some searching, but haven't found anything. Thanks.

Have you tried something along the line of this in a macro??

/sample
/pause 80
/stand
/sit
/pause 60
/ui action toolbarSlot xx (replace xx with whatever slot you placed the icon in on your bar)

There are approximately 4,720 posts regarding this exact same question.

Type some words in the box at the bottom that says "Search" next to it.

This is my lame sig - apparently html is too complex for this site.

A fully automated macro can not be createdbut it is possible to make one that does all stepsexcept forthe selection of resources.

Also ... the macros that can be done do not do "practice" mode either.

Look on the Artisan pages for hints on how to do all this.

Thanks guys! I feel kind of dumb because I didn't see the search function

I'm used to looking for that at the top of the page and didn't think to look at the bottom. I would have just searched if I had just found the search function.

Anyone know a simple macro for crafting, say a simple Pistol or rifle. I enjoy sitting there hammering out a thousand rifles manually but I would love it if I could just hit a simple macro and bang out say 50. Powerup macro would be nice too.

I was doing a little reseach and it seems no one has figured it out. From what I have found using some of these commands and other we might just get it to work. Any Ideas

No offense intended but why would you want to macro craft? I like crafting and taking the time to craft each individual item and then sell it. I like knowing that people who buy my items come back to me for more items because of the time I take to craft a quality product.

Please do not get me wrong. I like to take the time to make a perfect item. But you have to do alot and I mean alot of crafting to move up the tree. I am a casual gamer and I don't have the time to sit there and manual grind out the same items over and over. With what little time I have I would like to have some fun to ya know. So if a macro would speed up the time it takes to make some xp like survey then it would be helpful. I use three crafting stations to speed up the process now and it takes for ever.
