Thread: Insecurity Wins, I return
... and by contracting out to a miner, you give another player in this game an opportunity to have some fun. While cruising around Endor collecting meat, they watch for a good concentration, and drop, then sell you the goods for2 to 5 cpu. Then you turn around and sell the finished product for 6-1,000 cpu, depending on the market and your business plan.
Maybe I'm just dumb, but I *pride* myself on being the most expensive on the server (that I know of, and there are only a handful of archy's). I got depressed the other day when I saw a DE selling Probots for about 33% more than I sell mine... but I have pretty much hit my cap on Probot prices... hence I got depressed, hehehe.
So, even tho I am the most expensive on almost everything I sell, I still manage to pay my bills and participate in the little perks like buying SEA's and decorative loot, and helping new crafters get their feet wet. Being that last-ditch-guy for product suits me just fine. I am "okay" with spending about half the time other people do crafting to make as much or even more than they do. I get to spend more time enjoying the process (yeah right!) and less in a frantic rush to pump out *more more more*!!!!

I don't pump out a ton...
I think you are getting me confused with the type that sells cheap to undercut people
I sell cheap because I live on a planet far far away from where people are used to doing business...
I run a small business and ENJOY architect....I like crafting....I've been known to craft tons of wall modules all by hand, just because I didn't want to bother with a factory run

hmmm, guess the diff to me is...
10k isn't 'low' on my server
I'm just shocked that people will buy at the price when the vendor search is now available.
More power to you if you can sell that high and get away with it ![]()

by HMMI do you mean heavy mineral mines? Coz if you do i've been shooting myself in the foot, I sell em for 100k-ish![]()
That price is going to vary via server.

...It always amazes me, but there is *still* a demand for HMMI. It defies logic, but there it is. So that will be my first project. Lets see how many I sell at 249k! (my normal price, btw)
I think we'll always have demand for our goods even though they never decay. With player turnover theres always going to be people coming and going. This is our customer base now... new people.Let us know how those sales go. BTW, whats the average price for heavies on your server?I did an experiment a while back and compared sales at 80% of average with 120% of average and I didn't see much difference with that +/- 20% range on price. But 249k would be more like 200-300% of average for most servers. Not sure how fast those would move if at all.
Things are probably different on our server than others, Pawlin.

Yes, you have.
It's going to depend on your galaxy. If enough of your competition sells at a certain rate, it's rather unliekly that you'll sell at a much higher rate.

You're nuts if you think mining is fun.
