Ups sorryI should have said. I did it by putting ottoman's inside the sofa and then typing /target ottoman followed by (believe it or not) /sit. You might be able to do it with upholstered chairs too, dunno how wel they would fit though.
Oh and to make it so that nothing of the ottoman's were sticking through I simply moved the sofa up alittle

Decent enough work-around, but its a shame that it wastes item count
