Great! I guess I became an architect too late to miss a lot of the angst here - and therefore this post.
Yep - cute - and true.

ROTLFMAO!!!
2 bad as soon as one of these debates starts we don't just copy and paste this in... would save everyone a lot of time.
What's stopping you? Do it
Maybe some people will think before starting a "new" thread about the same thing for the 500th time since Dec.

LMAO
This is one of the funniest and most poignant commentaries on the state of the boards I have ever read. Well done!
As for pasting it in the “next time” a argument ensues … it would need to be someone’s signature line, because from what I have seen every thread eventually degenerates to this. Here is the thread trend:
NewArchitect: Hi, I am excited and anxious to start on my path to Master Architect and have been trying to find out as much information as I can about the trade. One person made a great suggestion that I “apprentice” for a current master whey give me resources and I grind out structure and wall segements for them. Is anyone interested on <my> server?
SuspiciousArchitect: Is this some kind of scam? I give you my hard earned 5cpu resources and you run off looking for the next sucker?
ModerateArchitect: No this is perfectly legitamate practice. It is very much in keeping with the game design and the spirit of the profession to take on an apprentice, allowing the apprentice to gain valuable experience while freeing the master up to work on more difficult and profitable pieces.
AngryArchitect: Whatever, you think everyone is out to screw you! Just because you over paid for your resources does not mean you need to take it out on every one else. I guess you are going to tell the new guy how much he should sell his components for.
CynicalArchitect: Here we go again ……
NewArchitect: Thanks. I think I will try Master Rifleman.

But then you can add...
The Buyer.. "What? your prices are insane.. I have a Master Architect on another server and I sell my stuff for 2.2 cpu.. so i know you can do that here and make as good a profit as I do on that server.. AndI dont mine my own resources on that server either..

I'm a tailor, not an architect.
But I must say, THIS IS SO TRUE! LOL.
Worst part is, if you tellsomebody you control your own production (in other words, gather your own resources), they start saying that you're not a "true crafter". You're a miner or something.
Jerks.
