Thread: one more failure thread (Zarcath please read, thanks!)
Reasource quality, schmesource quality, something has definitely changed in the past few days. I too have a high qulity crafting station, tools, and decent resources. Up until 2 days ago I had *never* failed on a final construction of a wall or a structure. Biggest thing I'd ever failed on was a turbine.
In the last two days alone I've crit failed on 2 med harvesters, 2 walls, and 1 turbine. Once again, this represents about a 40%-50% failure rate on the construction of items that involve subcomponents. The real kick in the pants is that I read that the devs actually said they were going to *reduce* failure rates for such items but it sure seems like they've done the opposite. There is just no way I can afford so many crit fails.
Because of this I haveceased building med houses and anything larger than a med harvester. I simply cannot afford such failures. And I plan to transition out of the architect profession within a week.
1 fusion out of about 15
1 Medium Chem
1 Heavy Flora out of close to 80 heavy harvesters
I use trash resources. That's just the way it crumbles. Make sure to charge enough that you can handle a 50% failure rate & still make money. I guarantee that you'll never fail more than 50% over time.
Failure rates have definately increased for me in a big way.
Last night I failed 4 structure modules in a row, success, fail twice, success, fail. I finally relogged for a bit and came back and had much less failures.
I am about to give up. Loosing 3 medium houses now has completely wiped me out of resources several times now and I had to buy somejust tofinish orders.
Weaponsmiths, Armorsmiths and other crafting professions do not suffer ANYTHING close to this. They crit fail and what, they loose like 250 or so? We crit and up to 55000 resources gone in one click. That's like a weaponsmith loosing 220 laser rifles in a row. Let's seeweaponsmiths loose 220 laser rifles in a row and see how loud they scream.
