Thread: Have to raise price on Heavies, fail to much on Experimentation.

A BER 10 only becomes worthless when Architects themselves make it worthless by lowering the cost of a BER 13 to the what used to be the cost of a BER 10. You are absolutely right - if someone can get a BER 13 for the same price as a BER 10, why wouldn't they? And if someone can get a BER 10 medium as experimentation exists today, then that is truly the nail in the coffin for a BER 10 heavy. I think the devs will do something to make the ability to own and operate a BER 10 medium the equivalent of heavy. They may also reduce the spawns of the minerals necessary to produce the med 10's and heavy 13's - they are not done with their tweaking I gaurentee it. Right now things are screwy and I can't believe their intent was to nullify existing stock - only to create new upscale versions that cost more. How the architects place values on their products is what can instantaneously make a BER 10 useless. IF 10's were 75k and 13s were 150k or more, there are tons of people who would snap up a 10 until they could afford better. But then there are those dang mediums - it's the whole chicken and egg thing.

NP on the not reading the whole post and I agree - that is my point. If BER 10 meds are going for 27k or less, then that makes my BER 10heavies I have sitting around worthless unless some idiot buys one for like 20k and doesn't bother figuring out how much $$$ they will save over time by just purchasing the medium. SOE F'd this up big time in my opinion - I worked hard to produce those heavies at one point not long ago and to make them instantly worthless is BS on the part of SOE. They implemented code that is just plain wrong in it's results and they need to fix it. Products should scale accordingly and they just threw a monkey wrench in the gears with producing BER 10 meds that are more efficient then a BER 10 heavy. That is just wrong and shows a lack of testing or a lack of caring.

Im sorry Tendral, I usually dont flame but your an IDIOT!! Experimenting on a heavy you only get 1 out of 3 at 13, thats if your lucky. And it doesnt cost you a peny more? Oh please where did you learn your math? Or are you just that nieve ??

That might be correct if BER 10's didn't sell at all. 27,770 resources is 27,770 resources no matter how you add it up. Getting a good success on one and not so good sucess on another is irrelevant to me if both sell. And to get a BER 13 is a roll of the dice for the most part, it doesn't COST me more to make it if I can still sell it. (which I can)

I guess I am nieve because I support 20 harvesters, 2 houses, a PA hall and my City Hall plus a second character that is better at spending money than making it - and still my bank account grows... not sure where I learned my math, but I guess I can add and add and add!

There is an advantage to the serious miner with a heavy.

its not very big but its there.

A medium BER 10 on a high concetration fills up fast. I have had a customer come back to get a heavy becuase he only wanted to check on it every 8-10 days.
