The looping grinding macro will cease to work when they nerf recursive macros.
However you can still make a macro that does an entire crafting session in one button click. Its a bit more work but wouldn't be too bad.

I'm sorry.
I didn't mean to rant.
Yet another half-assed idea by the devs has just about pushed me over the edge, tho.

We are already living with the cons of having recursive macrosand i can live with that!

This is going to have some inconveniences most definitely, but after some though - I agree with the approach. However, when they do things like this, they also need to add things that soften the blow.
For example, this will eliminate Starport advertising spamming. Now I'm sure everyone is celebrating that this will be gone but there is a reason why a lot of players do it .... it works. If it didn't, players wouldn't do it. After this change in macros, they need to add ways of advertising other than just the map if you're a merchant. Bulletin boards, billboards ... something IN-GAME.
So I hope the purpose of getting all this feedback is to develop things that soften the blow. The only personally I'll miss is my COB macro on my Fencer. Other than that, I think the good out-weighs the bad in this particular situation.
I just hope whoever comes up with the solution isn't the same brilliant dolt who designed the crafting quests.

Ya it isn't that hard. However, if you cut out the 'click the station' and the 'click the macro' bits then you've cut your button mashing in half.

Well it seems to me that the DEVs are probably trying to help the entertainers by killing the buffbots. The entertainers I've seen comment on this seem thrilled.
The DEVs have however asked the community in general how this will effect our profession. Shows that they do want to find out what negative impact the change will have that they might not know about and are asking for our input.
This kind of change is going to have a lot of pros and cons and they'll have to weigh them all and make the decision if the pros outweigh the cons or not.It may very well be that the inconveniences caused to most of us areheavily outweighed by the good that this will do the enterainer professions.
If the cost of rejuvenating the entertainer profession is that the rest of us have to rewrite a few of the convenience macros that we use then I think that is a fair trade off.
BTW this should also really cut down on the AFK spammers in Coronet that still exist even though there are droids made for that exact purpose and an entire chat channel dedicated to auctions.

Don't confuse laziness with avoiding needlessly repetitive tasks.
When waiting tables at a restaurant, you can bring that party of five their drinks two at a time or you can get a tray and put all 5 of them on it and make one trip.

I never even knew they're was a command, after you select the crafting station theres no way to put any commands with the slot with the crafting tool

I have to suspect that a big part of the motivation to change the way macros work was to eliminate the AFK message spamming and the 'bot' plague. The elimination of both I personally approve of.
The additional consequence is that quantity crafting(regardless of motivation)has been made punishing, mind numbing, drudgework. If we just 'got caught in the crossfire' then MAYBE the devs would be receptive to allowing crafting stations some kind of 'batch' or 'repeat' mode to accomplish what looping macros used to allow.
That being said, I wonder how may posts that appear to present thecrafting side of the issue are simply smokescreens for people who fall in the two groups I consider to be the abusers in the first place?
Lets not try to stop the inevitable, as we are divided on that anyhow, but instead turn this into an opportunity to improve the functionality of crafting stations -- something we may all agree would be beneficial. (I haven't used a macro to craft but would certainly appreciate and use a batch mode functionality for my crafting station!)
... so there!
