My approach has to not target the lowest price, but to keep things in stock on my vendor. I always have 1 each of all the possible factories on the vendor and have them priced at 50k. here is my price list;

Houses;

small 15k

Medium 84k

Large 180k

Harvesters;

Personal 2500

Medium Min 22k

Solars 27k

Other meds 60k

Large Mins / Chem / Flora 180k

Fusion 200k

PA Halls 500k

Highly experemtned crafting stations in the 39 range 30k

14.82 crafting tools 1k

Yesterday off my vendor I sold a PA Hall, 2 factories, 6 large harvesters, 1 medium house. 3 crafting stations, and a bunch of misc furntiture etc....

I just try to replace items that sell off my vendor and accumulate high quality materials in the meantime. Lately I have a fard time keeping my vendor stocked with items.

I'm still playing architect by harvesting my own resources AND not lowering my prices. I find most of the undercutters have left and I can make a little more than if i sold the resources on the bazaar.

ROFLMAO!!!!

DarthGoofyBunny, now make sure you go and tell EVERYONE what you've learned from being an architect. We can't get anyone to buy our stuff, so we have to sell low or we don't get any money at all. Some of us enjoy it, yes, like me, but it's not making any money.

Hi,

I stoped taking orders. I just put the stuff in the vendor and selling an Heavy Mineral Miner each night for 150k, cause its there in the vendor. It was a big surprise that my stuff at naboo does sell much better than on corellia, where I couldnt sell a lot. But at naboo I sold a Heavy each night the alst days. Why that? Well, most Architects cant deliver, but have a queue of 5 to 10 buildings, if you need to wait for a 100k heavy miner, its cheaper to buy one for 150k now, it pays off. 5cr/Unit is the price at gorath at the moment, so I am already to cheap, selling at the ore price itself :-)

However, it works, if you ignore the whining, you will make money. Whenever someone said to me "hey, I saw that factory for 30k!" I just told him "Hey, thats a really good offer, go there and buy it". Well, most often they couldnt not remember where to get it for 30k....what a pitty.

I spend a lot of time harvesting my ressources, I am not part of a PA, and if I cant sell my stuff, who cares, I always can drop back to selling ressources instead. It just that a few people want to level fast to get rich fast, but they tooked care by themself that they never will get richt, cause of their own prices in the past.

Another thing, if you sell your houses for 10k each, why the heck dont you ask a Merchant to sell it for you, or from you? Thats what they supposed to do, selling stuff more efficient than you could.

Read ya.

It is so frustrating...I am a tailor, but my fiance is an architect, his vendor is next to mine so I try to help him sell stuff. Someone asks me about a small house. I tell him sure, we have those for about 12k. The response "Bit high isn't it? I can get those for 5k"

Yeah ok...then why are you yelling in the city for a house if you have someone to sell it to you for 5k.

It is good to see other people selling things at prices that make sense. We sell factories for 50-55k. Small houses10-12k.

That's exactly what I sell at too, Zellisa. Stick to your prices, people will get it someday.

I think a lot of the problem with people undercutting prices has to do with the fact that a small house from a novice architect and a small house from a master architect are identical. Weaponsmiths and Armorsmiths make much better products at the master level, allowing them to charge more on even the lower weapons, while architects really only master the profession if they want to make PA Halls. Experimentation needs to do something, so that the more skilled crafters actually produce a better product. Until something straightens itself out, I've put my architect skills pretty much on hold. I still craft the occasional harvester or factory for a friend, but I'm not trying to pump up to master any time soon.

As a sidenote, Architect is also one of the easiest professions to grind. All you need is a huge stack of resources, the time flies by since so many things we make take so many resources. Pair up with another architect who's leveling, build structural modules for each other, trade, and then build wall modules from each other's structural modules, and repeat for the added usaged exp.
