Thread: macros
i read the through all of this and can't believe noone has figured out how to loop. my macro loops, it's really easy to do.
all you have to do is add "/m *macro*" at the end and it will repeat.
i'm a trando tkm so i need to meditate if i want to survey for extended periods of time. this macro seems to work fine for me.
/sample; /pause 3; /stand; /sit; /pause 1; /meditate; /pause 26; /stand; /pause 1; /m survey

Listen up. You can't loop macros.
Are you nuts?? Of course you can loop macros. Thats how 98% of Master Dancers and Musicians got there!! the command is /ui action toolbarSlot##.

I take it nobody knows how to get around the higher concentration popup
there is a way to get around the pop up windows.. it was the 2 macro system posted near the top of page 4. It works, and explains why it works... check it out.

try this
/sample;/pause 3;/stabd;/pause 32;/ui action toolbarSlot01;
and put it on your first slot on your tollbar
/sample;/pause 3;/stabd;/pause 32;/ui action toolbarSlot00;
and put it on the second slot
with a 700 stamina and 700 willpower you will sample nonstop.
For stop the macro jusrt mobe one of the macros to a different slot or type /dump while you are standing.
Thanks for the advice, by the way. I have a master ID and I honestly wanted dancer or musician. However, I got musician on my second holo so I'm a bit eager to do it quickly. I think once all is said and done, I'm going to go back and become Master ID/Master Musician with her.

I hope this helps you! Maybe I'll see you around, I'm on Bria. You can find me at the Drunken Tusken Cantina in Mos Elsewhere, Tatooine. I am there almost every evening. I would be happy to entertain with you and help boost your xp.

Also, at least for me that is, you can only have so many commands go at once. I had a macro to put on my armor. The way I did this was to put all 8 of my armor pieces across the F1-F8 hotkeys, then have a macro that switched to that toolbar panel, then called all 8 of the hotkeys. A patch about 2 months ago changed it so I could only get about 4 or 5 pieces on before it dumped the commands. So I had to put a /pause 1 in the middle to call all 8 hotkeys.
If you use a macro to sample with, you'll only need 1. Puta couple of 1 pauses after the /stand and /sit commands to allow for the animation to finish before trying to sample again. Just have the macro call the same hotkey as the macro is on, then when you want to stop it, you can either do /dump or drag the macro off of that hotkey.
I know this a late reply, but if anyone searches this and reads this thread I'd like them to know this: You cannot call a macro by its name to induce an infinate loop. You need to put the macro on the toolbar and somewhere (usually at the end) place in a command /ui action toolbarSlotXX where XX is the number of the slots (numbered 00-23). Also note that to stop it you need to have a pause command in there somewhere so that you can type in /dump.
