Just asking because I didnt see this in guide, and seems novice is the hardest/longest box to get

wind harvesters are the quickest way, they take a wide variety of resoruces though. If you want to just use metal then do survey tools, or crafting tools(requires chemical and metal)

I'm not very experienced with any of the crafting for SWG, or any other part of the game for that matter, but I used ~ 15k resources, made Mineral Survey tools and ~ 4 hours later had enough exp for Novice Architect.

Darth,

Aye, used the macro that I found in the Artisan boards. The one on these boards seems to be the same macro but I only glanced at it.

grrr...wish I could edit.

I should point out that I was already Engineering 4. So it was 33k exp in ~ 4 hours....not all of Engineering plus Novice.

Do crafting tools until you get to eng3, then do personal mineral extractors until novice (425 xp each).

All you need for personal harvesters is steel, aluminum and ore.

The whole thing should take less than 2 hours.

Rik's idea sounds a lot better than mine Darth. I was only getting 57-59 exp per combine with my path. /shrug I didn't know any better.

Well, I went from Artisan 4/0/0/4 to Master Artisan and Novice Architect in under an hour with grinding Wind Harvestors last night (bring a new character up to speed) so I can guarentee it can be done.

Enjoy

Wind generators give you almost 500 xp in practice mode so getting 33K from Eng 4 to Novice Architect is pretty quick. I've done it a few times now and it never seems to take very long.

When I look at the FAQ I find the following:

=======================

Q-5.1: What should I grind to get Novice Architect?

Personal harvesters give a good amount of experience. If you have enough experiment points (4/4/x /x) then you can experiment them up to BER4 and sell them on the bazaar. Or you can just grind them on practice mode. If you are master Artisan then you can make vehicles. Vehichles give a lot of experience per item but the XP per resource used is low, however they can be sold.

=======================

Honestly, if you think that the question just might have possibly been asked before, it probably IS in the FAQ.

And any leftover ore can, of course, be used to feed your upcoming addiction
