Ok, bear with me if this is horribly innacurate or has already been posted, but I'm on vacation, and had a thought...
I believe that power used is dependant on the amount of resource harvested.
So, you will use up twice as many power on a 90% vein as on a 45% vein.
How does this connect to the power bug?
Well, extraction rates are much higher now than they used to be. If my theory's accurate, this would account for the sudden jump in power use.
No matter what, it is DEFINITELY displaying the power usage incorrectly. If it says 7 days, it definitely does -not- mean 7 days...
Thoughts?

As our weapons decay through use, we get 50% and 25% condition warnings put across our screen. Well how many times have you been furiously fighting away, not being aware of rate of decay of your armour and all of a sudden it's dead?
Well could we please get warning alarms for our armour as we get for our weapons please?
Nice idea, maybe some sort of graphical affect whereby the armour becomes dirty and tatty as it decays. Although I guess this wouldn't be much use if you are using first person view. Actually, considering the additional artwork required and the possible additional load in rendering it all, I'm not sure it's such a good idea afterall.
Maybe an icon under our HAM bars instead then.
This was prompted after an intensive few days of "AOE" grinding, and I noticed my leg armour was 0 condition, which in itself wasn't so bad, but that particular peice of armour had +8 Carb Accuracy, +5 Carb Speed and +2 Rifle Defence (can't remember the mods exactly, but they were somethig like that). So the issue is particularly burning with me just now.
