Thread: How many harvs do you run?

It’s really nothing to brag about. Its not tough to get an extra 60 lots the way you have them, where someone plants them gives you admin rights and you never see or hear from them again, through lot trading. I honestly rather setup resource brokers with free harvesters in exchange for a % of what they mine and the rights to buy what ever they are currently mining for a low 1cpu - 2 cpu. Hell even paying someone to plant harvesters for you and move them for you when the resource change is another great way to mine those extra resources for when the good stuff shifts in. You wouldn't believe how many people don't even use all there lots or even realize how much they could make in extra cash by setting a few harvesters up and mining what ever is at the location. I knew a person who did that and sold what ever he mined at 2.5 cpu on the bazaar, he was pulling in about 100k a week.

I currently run 89 Harvesters on Minerals. My brother takes care of something like 15 more for power, flora, and stuff for Chef/Doctor

All of these lots are under my controll, none are static lot swaps. I may not own the accounts, but I can have any harvester moved whenever I want if a worthy resource shows up.

luckily for me 27 of them are all in one spot wich has been incredibly good to me for almost 2 months. The others have all been moved in the last 2 weeks.

I am concidering doing my first static lot swap to hold my structure factories as it would be nice to get 6 more mobile lots.

PS. I dont suggest everyone runs this many as it can be quite annoying at times. but I keep 20k maintenance and 15k power in each, in general, so there is definately time for lazyness

WOW 89!?!

Im not bragging by the way, I just know that 30 seems like a LOT to take care of for me since I also have a full compliment of factories and my own house (my lots are all tied up crafting factories and houses for storage) and was wondering what the other "bigger better" arches were doing. Im always looking for help/inspiration from other masters. Thanks for the Idea of using dedicated resources harvesters as well, Ill give it a try

OMG 170 minerals???????

You gotta have people clearing them for you and stuff, I can't imagine having to adminster so many.

I have 19 on my own, another 10 handled by a friend and large house plus 2 factories through lot swaps.

These numbers are just INSANE!!

I have 8 lots (my alt has houses, equip factories and structure factory on his lots) to use for Harvesters and I have one resources supplier.

It just seems to me that if I get anymore than that the game ceases to be fun and becomesa job. I work full time Monday - Friday and only get on 2-3 hours on a given weeknight so I can't imagine the work it would take to run around clearing out 170 Harvesters.

How much time do you guys spend in-game that have all these lots spoken for? Seems like you would have to use up about 2-3 hours a day just checking harvesters. Yikes. Not complaining, I just don't see how you can do that and still enjoy the game. You can only get so many credits before it becomes play money.

I am running 140 Heavy Harvesters...I move and place them all myself. I put in 30K power and 30K maintenance in them to let them run a few weeks. I spend about 8 hours a week moving them and finding new spots, but I take in well over 10 million resources a week.

It is a huge pain sometimes, but It is well worth the resources I can mine in just a single day.

I have help from the people's accounts I borrow sometimes, but the mining op is mostly just me.

I only have to visit my harvs once a week...Saturday's I spend about 4 hours redeeding, 4 hours replacing. Trust me having the resources and extra money comes in handy witha Jedi to pay for (Krayt pearls, crystals, etc).

170Heavies & 18 fusions equal a half mill in credits a day to run, 3.5 mill a week not counting factories.

/boggle

Also, 18 Fusions are not enough to consistantly power that many heavies, unless you find a good spot, over 72%, everyweek, with high PE. I am impressed.

I run 20 harvesters, 2 house/shops, 1 structure factory, 1 equipment factory.

How do you move em all yourself?? Do you have 14 different accounts??

Just curious, I have 2 accounts myself.

0, zero, nada, zilch. I hate mining with a passion. I did a lot of it when I first started playing but I just don't have time to run harvestors anymore. So I buy all my resources from other people. I think I'm doing pretty good.

No I have 4 accounts, I borrow other friends account to move them when they aren't playing. It is a pain though I must admit, but worth the income. hehe

I've got the time required to maintain mine down to about 4-6 hours per week. I don't move them, I just selct the best resource at the beginning of the shift and let it run the rest of the shift before emptying hoppers and changing the resource for the next shift.

I keep over 30 days maintenance and power in them, so I only have to add main/power once per month, and i have macros set up for that.

It took alot of thought to set up my operation and make it as time-efficient as it is now. And I enjoyed the challenge of that part of it.

But now, to just go out once a week and empty hoppers and change the resource multiple times is a mindless thing, which to be honest is where I get part of my entertainment from the game.. the mindlessness of certain things....

The 18 fusions are not enough to cover the power cost, even though I try to keep them on at least 70% concentrations. I buy the rest of my power off the market.
