Is there a house or way for more than 1 person to declare residence in a home? Can that even be done?

Nope. You have to be the owner of the house to declare it your residence.

Is therea point to doing this? I don't save any money on maintenence, I use up the same amount of lots... The only thing I can see that comes from it is that I can see the coordinates of my house in the character sheet. And if that's all that comes from it, why is there a long wait before you can declare residence again?

You also can call your pets while around your place of residence. But it seems random whether or not the game forces you to do this. Half the time I can call my pets in the middle of the wilderness sans a camp, and sometimes I can't call them at all.

Yes it shows your residence in your bio and you can call pets in and around declaired. Funny thing is if your not declaired you can call them inside but not outside it. Thats pretty much it I think. Might also have something to do with merchants and multiple buildings in various citys/planets.

I accidentally clicked on this option a few days ago in my house management terminal.

What is this anyway and what are its advantages?

Since I clicked it, I cant summon any bots far from my house or town on that planet unless Im at a campsite. IMHO this is a disadvantage.

How do I change or get rid of my "declared residence" ? Will it affect my house adversely?

I personally don't have these problems with my residence, but I'm not sure taking down the house will do it. It seems to be more connected to the world map than the house, though it's possible. /shrug

I have a large house on Tantoonie I declared months ago - but when I open my character window it says Im a Wanderer... I went to my house to make sure I was declared and it says Iam.

What gives?

Seems like most of them do that. Mine did. I think as long as your house says it, you're alright.

Sorry if this has been answered before but I didnt see it in the FAQ....Can you declare residence in a city in someone else's house? For instance if a me and a friend share a house and both declare residence there will we both be counted as citizens for voting purposes?

If yes, then how many people can declare residency per house to gain citizen status?

Also is there a cap on city population? I realize you dont advance in ranking but can a city have any number of residents?
