Thread: How Low can I go on Resource Quality to get BER 13 and BER 14?
on ber 14. you must have omus to 100% exp. and the other stuff to atlest 980 in average stats. exp it to 100% and you get ber14.
on ber 13. i used to be able to make em with the ber 6 omu and average around 920+ on resource experimented at 85%.. rest in hooper sizes..
go and try and find out.. havent done that much stuff on ber 14 lately.. since i havent realy been playing much last few months... ![]()
980 seems the number you need to get your OMU's to BER 7, but you should try for higher if your server supports it. The closer to 100% OMU experimentation, means less points you will need to spend to get to BER 14 and more into hopper size. Seems the OMU and the end resources are the only thing you need to worry about, the rest of the components can be filler quality.. im using some 996UT Steel and 999 UT Iron when i make my harvestors and im reaching BER 14 with 117k-118k storage. really haven't put much heart into it lately to tweak out a better hopper..
For new architects trying to get into the business, I recommend you try to just make the BER 7 OMU's, and use alittle lower quality material so you can make BER 13s with 125k+ hopper sizes. And advertise on your forums...I made 35 Deep Crust harvestors yesterday at BER 13 with 134k storage and they Flew off my vendor in under 8 hours. I think i set them at 135k credits each which is my normal selling price. nice way to get into the businesss fast and restock your resources to make the ber 14s...
Mind you the only advertising i did was post a thread on my forums, and of course Bazaar vendor search is on. I have no merchant advert skills...
Thanks for the input guys ![]()
Ok, so if I have 960 average rating on UT, HR and SR and get the 2% bonus with anArchitect Inspiration, I should be able to make get components to 7 and finnished productto 14? People were producing this level of quality before inspirations came along but I just wanna get all my facts straight before i set my standards on what I'll use. As far as Hopper size goes, the high UT will get me to a decent start up point and most don't have a lot of points to exp with for that anyway, so I'll have what's typical then aye?

Ok cool thanks for the info. Preciate the time given to the thread, seeing that it's likely a very redundent topic.
I only bothered because I'm gathering materials to run off 50 heavy harvesters at once before I drop Architect.

No with 960 base stat average you will not hit BER14 level for harvesters. You'll get BER13.You need 981+ to hit BER 14 level. The 2% buff increase gets you to 1000 level. 981 * 1.02 = 1000.62We were not making BER14 harvesters before buffs. Only fusions could hit BER14. Except for back sometime last year there was 1 day we could hit BER14 on harvesters.
Well there is a the percentage of total resources to consider. I made BER 14 Heavy Gas harvesters earlier using a 979.5 LGO. But the rest of the quality resources were 994.

If you mean OMUs, then yes.

Yea that brings up a good point I was just thinking about this morning. In the overall combination of materials; do the important stats add up directly and then divide by number or resource types to give an average rating that the product will be based on?
For Example I have Steel that rates 996, Iron that rates 987 and LG Ore that rates 961. When the three ratings are added up and divided by 3 the total is 2944. Dividing 2944 by 3 produces an average of 981.3333.
So is the overall rating on the product going to be 981.3333 or 1001.3333 after the 2% Architect Inspiration, or will the product be based off of the lowest rating of the three resources; being 961? I'm leaning toward the notion that they average out, because I made some electronics using less than fantastic steel and I still ended up with maximum product.
Also does the actual number or resource units per resource typeaffect the average?

Sweet! .. thanks for the timely response. Even making Heavy Gas Harvs, my resources should work for maximum benefit.
I jotted down the formula so I think I got it dialed now. ![]()
Now if I could just spruce up my Signature .... I'd be all set ![]()
