With my big surprise I received an Internal manifacturing error regarding my structure factory.
It said the output hopper was full. After checked i saw it produced all the items without "crating" them. So I have in the output hopper 100 single ore mining unit.
It's a bug?
Help me please.
Thanks

OMU's come in transparent crates that each hold a single unit.
They are "identical" as far as schematics go (check the serial number), but they are stacked in single units instead of multi-item crates like most everything else.

Thanks m8. Next time I'll produce only 100 items istead of 500
hehe i always produces 1000 units. i just put enough resources in to only make 100 each time. and i empty them place them in storage and then i produce 100more etc.etc

I have seen much discussion about this on the forums. Does anyone know why OMUs don't come in crates? And also, with the HUGE changes that are about to occur with the CURB, does anyone know if this is on the list of changes for the devs?
thanks,
Pawlin

No we've never heard why OMU's are not crated or if its a bug or not.
No theres nothing in CURB to change it.

I bet if you could throw OMU's at NPC's they would be crated real fast.

To Dev: Yes, Jedis must have crated OMUs!
Devs: Ooo, we'll make it our first priority.

I pounded out 400k Force Sensitive XP with uncrated Ore Mining Units last night.
...and it's not going to be fixed by the CURB. HA!
I hope they NEVER fix this exploit!
OMUs PWNS JEDI!

I was using the OMU dupe exploit last night.
Here's how you do it:
1) Make a schematic for 1000 OMU's
2) Put in enough materials to make only 10 crates of OMU's.
3) Be sure your factory has power and maintenance.
4) **This is the most important step: Be sure your input hopper is OPEN when you start the factory.
5) Start the factory THEN close the input hopper.
Once it's done, you can check the output hopper and you will find that instead of the TEN crates you were expecting to see, you will have produced ONE HUNDRED OMU's!
It is my hope that by making this OMU dupe exploit public that the Devs will be forced to fix it before everyone starts taking advantage of it.
