Except for the fact that servicing your harvesters will be an act of suicide, no. Count yourself fortunate.

Right they aren't changing crafting for architets. But we will be effected by the general changes to combat like everyone else.

So if you have no combat skills then you'll be very wimpy. Hmm.. if I put it that way it sounds logical...

Until you stop to think: "Howcould the Empire or Republicbuild a star-spanning civilization despite the fact that anyone who isn'ta master of some combat profession dies the instant that they set foot outside a city on even the tamest world?"

What maroons. I mean, think about this: how in the blazes do they expect to GAIN more customers than they are going to LOSE with this stunt? Sure, ROTW is going to drag some new people in, which will cover the disaster people quitting due to the CU. But overall, this is a loss for SOE and LucasArts. We wanted adjustments, not a complete redesign of the game, and certainly not a redesign into EQ!

I have already decided against buying the expansion because of this idiocy. How many more are there? I may go ask that somewhere...

Its pretty heavy exaggeration to call it suicide for a crafter to leave a city or say they will die the instant they do so.

Combat will be tougher all around. Crafters aren't the only ones who will experience this. Everyone is being nerfed. Before you could get a buff and put on composite armor and most anyone would be fine on any planet. But now even dual master elite combat profs will have a tough time on the advanced worlds.

We'll have to see how it pans out. But I don't think the sky is falling. It didn't fall the last dozen times everyone said it would.

Speaking not as an Architect but as a mass resource dealer, I would like armor that protects me while I empty harvesters. I have a great static field on Endor but it is full of high level critters. I have to get buffed and fully armored just to run away without getting knocked off my swoop. I'd like to see some sort of armor that anybody could use that could protect you like high end comp does now but maybe it limits movement and maybe makes combat impossible. The idea being its just there to save my butt while I take a powder. That way it would not impact on the combat pros, and it would allow me to continue being a triple artisan master with no skills in combat, and not have to clone once a day.

It's not doomsday, no. They're certainly trying to add an element of difficulty for everyone - we havn't been given the big boot (though I don't know what they'd do if they were to change us).

Take a pet or droid with you, or a bodyguard if need be. Harvesters can be checked while riding mounts so that's not a problem. Placing and redeeding will be the sneaky part.

Just as well I still carry my clone authorisation documents from the little green helper droid

Well I still have alittle combat skills left, (Novice Pistoleer), I have enough points to last to train my merchant until the CU comes out. I am a Master Artisan,Master Architect,Merchant 0311 and I like to craft so I am kinda waiting to see how this all pans out. from what I have seen so far looks like I going to die more often and when I finally let the Novice Pistoleer go, I will die alot more, as far as combat I have moved that to space and do very little ground Combat these days, I like the idea of "Crafters Armour" when you wear this you are unable to fight and it could offer decent protects. I do not think that would mess up the Nerf... I mean CU..

Well from my own testing in CU test server it seems to me that the basic worlds like Tat, Corellia, Naboo and Talus won't be that dangerous post-CU even with no combat skills at all.

Advanced worlds will definitely be a lot more challenging. But then even as a master elite combat profession in armor I was easily whopped by a gang of Mokk's.

Hmm, are the random NPC and creatures reduced on the hub worlds then?

The frequency of spawns is about the same as on live. But in the main worlds the average mob isn't that high level on average. i.e. you might find chunker punks rather than nightsisters.

Hay, just give all 3 class master artisans a veteran reward like a SoroSuub M1 tank...of course it would be the decommissioned variety with concrete filled gun barrel.
