I just made Novice Architect. I need to know a few things to advance as quickly as possible.

1) What can I make as a Novice Architect that will give me the most experience possible so that I can advance as fast as possible?

2) I have many mineral harvesters, what resources should I get the most of?

Thanks for any answers.

the best way to advance through architect tree's is to make the small houses... if you sell them for a good price you should have lots of sales, and it shouldn't take you too long to level to your next architect skill.

you will want to focus many of your harvesters initially on Ore.... Ore is required alot.

the housing market is screw ... if money is not a concern then go the route mentioned above.. if it is i'm told that making furniture is profitable.

The more resources an item requires, the more experience you get, since you get 2 experience for every 1 unit of resource you use. At the same time, you don't want something that requires lots of different resources, because that becomes a pain.

Check out the private crafting stations. They require only one type of resource (Steel), a lot of it at a time (450), and with the new "Practice" option, you will get 945 experience per crafting station. I just tested it, and it is exactly 945 experience, which is
450 * 2 * 105%.

just don't sell your house for less than the materials cost off the bazar.

Wow! Thanks very much guys! Could you help me out further and give me some base prices for different Architect creations?

You already said that 20k is base price for a small house with walls. How much is it with furniture?

Other things like that. Thanks.

Unfortunetly the market for houseing is bad especially smalls since the trend now seems to be shifting to mediums and larges. Expect to run missions for a good while until you can build medium houses. THings will start to get a little easier then.

For straight exp with the minimal amount of different resources needed ...structural mods are without a doubt the best exp you can do. 200 ore 50 metal and 500xp. If your going this route I would put 8 harvesters on ore and 2 on the highest aluminum you can. Steel works for these also but it seems to me so much of our stuff requires way more non-ferrous materials than ferrous. You could even go 6 on ore 2 on aluminum 1 on copper and one on steel if ya wanted to be well rounded. Also Structural mods will always be used. On my way to master I made walls by the handful. The day I made master I churned out 3 PA's and burned through most of em. So its not a wasted effort, just one that pays off down the road.

Money will be slow at first but eventually it will start coming in and before ya know it youll be backed up a week on orders=)

Atoner thats not a cool tone just because you cant take pride in creating lasting items like a small house doesnt mean others cant this may be the wrong proffession for you. if your in for price gouging go bea WS AS or DE

You may not like his tone, but he is correct. You will not make money on small houses, and will barely make money on mediums houses. 4 credits a resource is not price gouging. You seem to enjoy working for free (Power to the people!), so I'll laugh as you go bankrupt.

As for the new guys: This is not WS, or DE, where you "grind" & dump to get your way to master, and then roll in the big bucks. If you don't make money from day 1, you likely never will. Sorry to dump on your excitement of hitting novice, but if you can't sell the structures you make for at least 3.5 cred/ resource, you're not going to make it, and will burn out pretty fast.

Working for free with no appreciation gets old fast.

Lessons for novice architects:

1. structural module is your friend. You will learn to love these little suckers.

2. carbonate ore is your life. The more you have the faster you can advance.

3. Steel/Aluminum/Copper are all required materials for you to even consider making money with factories, and harvestors.

4. Get Building I first so you can make structural storage module that is required in the Installation line.

5. Don't waste time with making small houses, there is no way you can compete with people who is selling a small house for 3k, make lots of structural modules and wall modules. They should be enough to get you to medium houses.

6. Don't even invest xp in the experiementation tree. Completely useless and pointless right now. Do that tree last.

7. When critical failure on a factory/heavy harvestor/large house, take a deep breath, get out of your house and run around your block several times. It'll help.............really........it does.................

8. Stick firmly to your price. Do not let others belittle you and bargain with you. If you want to sell a house for 20k, stick to that price. Run missions for cash if you have to. The cheaper we sell our products the worse it'll get in the future.

9. When in doubt, think happy thoughts, think the addition of player city, and always be optimistic about the "light at the end of the tunnel" ...... there is always the surrender botton of course. ....

Working for nearlyfree AND being called "ripping people off" "overcharging people" is just a COOL feeling.

Kaori's Architect Lessons:

1) Harvest Carbonate Ore and Steel/Aluminum/Copper. You can sample for any other stuff you need usually.

2) Don't listen to people who tell you you can't make money or you're gonna go broke. I sold smalls at 10K because of competition when I was first a Novice, and I sold them all and I made money, just not much. It can be very tight at the beginning, but it gets better!

3) Roleplay. I know, some people think this is silly, but I find I get less annoyed with things like failures and getting 900 tells in the span of 30 seconds if I roleplay my role. In other words, don't just craft for the sake of crafting, make it enjoyable and have fun. I haven't done ANY "grinding" since I made Novice Architect, and I refuse. Sure, I've sat in front of my crafting station for 2 hours making furniture, but I wasn't grinding, I was making "furniture sets" and so forth. I was enjoying myself!

4) If you're not having fun, stop. Star Wars: Galaxies allows you to customize your character to YOUR playstyle. And you can always change your stats, and always change your skills. So if you find yourself not enjoying it, drop the skills and do something else. This is a game, we're supposed to be having fun! =)
