Thread: Speed Crafting Marco
Warning: Current marco does NOT work with experimentation, practice mode, hell, it won’t even work if you’re standing near a public crafting station, personal crafting station, or a droid with a structural crafting module in it of the same type of your crafting kit.
Ok...here are the commands you'll use in your attempt to do a marco crafting session:
/selectDraftSchematic xx (xx = 2 digit number which represent your available schematic, this number is dependant on what is available to you. This is the command to use after you pull up the crafting kit screen, it allows you to directly select the schematic you want without having to scroll up and down and click your mouse) (Note: Structural Module number should be 26 for master architects)
/ui action toolbarSlotxx (xx = 2 digit numbers, if you have two panes of tool bar slots shown, the numbering should be like this:
00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11
12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23
* remember that you need to keep the capital S in the command line for the game system to recognize the command)
/ui action toolbarPanexx (xx = 2 digit number from 00 – 05 representing the six panes of tool bars we get)
/nextCraftingStage (a text command used to advance to the next stage of crafting without having to move and click)
/createProtoType (a text command used to advance to the final stages of crafting and creates the prototype without having to click and drag)
The following is my marco:
Go to an empty pane: (* I use the sixth pane)
00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11
12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23
I will place my three crafting kits at the 09 , 10, 11 position slots.
Then I will open up my marco (ctrl+a) and create four Marcos:

Command: /nextCraftingStage;/nextCraftingStage;/createProtoType;/createProtoType

Command: /ui action toolbarSlot09;/selectDraftSchematic 26
Name: Craft-Structural-Module-2

I’ll drag the Marcos and place them on 00, 01, 02, 03 slots.
This is how my hot key pane looks like:
F1: Craft-Finish marco
F2: Craft-Structural-Module-1
F3: Craft-Structural-Module-2
F4: Craft-Structural-Module-3
F5: Mineral Survey Kit
F6: Chemical Survey Kit
F7: Gas Survey Kit
F8: Flora Survey Kit
F9: General, Weapon, Droid Crafting Kit
F10: Structural Crafting Kit
F11: Structural Crafting Kit
F12: Structural Crafting Kit
When I am speed marco crafting, I have my left hand on the F1 to F4 keys and my right hand on the mouse.
I would press F2, it will boot up the crafting session AND select the structural module as my schematic (this is done via /selectDraftSchematic xx …your desire schematic number would differ).
I would drag and click whatever material that is needed.
Then press F1 to end the rest of the crafting session.
Viola, you’re done, a crafting session ofa structure moduleunder 4 seconds.
You can really grind quickly with these sets of marcos, and this actually applies to any crafting profession that requires major grinding.
how are you dealing with the faillures?
is there a macro button for that on? i can just click ok in the middle, but i am wondering.
well, this is not exactly hacker work ![]()
All commands are legit and in game. Nothing is external. I just figured that if SOE gives us access to the commands, we might as well make good use out of them. No one deserves to get carpel tunnel over a game.
As for critical failures, yes, it will still occur, but the marco is set up to bypass it (thus you have two /nextcraftingstage and two /createprototype just in case this happen). The only difference you will notice between a critical failure and a success combine is that the timer (the little number beside your crafting kit on your hot key tool bar) displays or not.

Then you will get a 5 second pause to do your clicks and away it goes automatically.
And for the truly dedicated you could even add:

Which sets up a little loop, then you just have to use your mouse to add components over and over again. When you have a full inventory move the macro from F1 down to the bottom bar for a break to delete everything.
Yeah, that's a good idea.
But it allows less freedom to move about, and you need to take account of the possible server lag and the time. I find out that if I do a really fast loop of the three marcos, by the time I am done with the third crafting kit and ready to go back to the first one, it usually has around 5 seconds left before it finishes the product. So you might want to do this:

basically the /pause is increased from 1 second to 5 seconds to allow the crafting kits tofinish crafting sessions. (the pause command is irratic at best. Tests shown that each computer has a different sense of "time". /pause 5 might mean 5 second in one computer and might not be 5 second in another, so change this according to how your computer reacts.)

It appears from my experience that the practice switch is a toggle that remains in the last state. So if you turn it on then it remains on for all crafting sessions until you turn it off.
So a workaround to incorporate practice into macro crafting is to initiate one manual crafting session first and turn practice on. Then if you proceed with macro crafting the practice switch should be on.
