Thread: Anyone make up new experimented harvesters today?

I've seen mixed reports. IS experimentation still in? I was looking forward to doing some testing tonight.

Also, anyone with Fusions that had 21+ extraction rates in deed form have them reduced to base line stats? I put my 31 down last night in hopes it wouldn't loose it's stats but didn't have lots for my other 4 in the high 20's. Just wondering what is going on today while I'm stuck at work.

I made a High Cap Flora with a 10 extraction and 2 Automated Floras with 7 extraction. Both used Harvesting units made prior to today. I have not made subcomponents yet today. I did not have any experimental deeds in backpack overnight to see if this mornings maintence reset them however the ones on my vendor were not reset.

Thanks for the info, sounds good. Experimenting is really what keeps me in the game, It used to be just crafting stations and reapir kits but now structures too....now if they would just make durability have an effect on maintenance costs and power usage so I could have some really tough decisions on what to invest points in

Can you imagine. If someone gets the right recipe and learns to make all their mediums with extraction rate of 7, you can use mediums as heavies that would be much cheaper and easier to build and cheaper to sell. A medium mineral uses like 3600 resources and someone could mass produce those in a factory and be as good asthe old heavies but he can make a ton of them and sell them cheaper than current heavies.

The avg price is around 3cpu. Now, that's like 11k for a medium mineral. Even at 6cpu, he could sell for 22k and it will be as good as the old heavies and cost like 60k+ less than the old heavies. No factory runs.

I meant to add. Why would anyone want a medium with a 7 extraction rate?

It's only 1440cr/day and 1200pwr/day. So, it would be cheaper to buy and cheaper to maintain forthe same extraction rate as old heavies.

That's an interesting idea but then again, we should be able to experiment heavies way up too (at least 10 or 11). Granted and it takes a lot more resources and costs a lot more (3 cpu..hell no..If I can't sell a heavy for at least 160k then I won't sell it..most likely the new ones will go back up to my old prices of 200k). Yea some people may go for it but lots are a limited resource and except for people who are lot sharing or have 2-4 accounts people will want to squeeze every bit of production out of their lots as possible...I know I do.

I've been able to make 7Kg/H Mediums and 10Kg/H Heavies with my current resources and i only have 5 experimentation points and fairly crappy resources.

The biggest bitch is the fact that we have less assembly and experimentation than other elite crafters. With 9 or 10 experimentation points i could easily get 90+ ore mining units, which reportedly will reach 8 for mediums and 11 for heavies. Heavies have not been verified yet that i have seen.

Basically if this stays in the market for non experimental heavies is gone. There's no reason to buy a Heavy with an extraction rate of 7 when you can pay less maintence and use less power on a Medium with the same extraction rate.

The best bang for your buck has always been the medium mineral harvester and this just made them that much more worthwhile. Of course prices will raise drastically on those mediums, but due to the resource usage they still won't come close to the price of an old Heavy, theres just no way to justify that.

Non experimental Mediums will probably still see sales as there is no experimentation on personals and a non experimental medium will still double the production of the personal without coming near to the cost of the topline experimental. Problem will be finding a non experimental, I really don't see any master architect with a factory purposly churning out baseline models unless there is a drastic market demand for them. Most non experimentals will come as resells from folks upgrading to the new ones.

Have seen 8 Mediums and 11 heavys. I'm not sure whats going to happen with this. In some ways its a good idea and is workable. I'm just not confident this is what they intended yet. I think it isnt, and they are quietly trying to figure out how to fix everything without causing too much trouble

Ifyourealy want to "dump" heavies with 11KG/H for the measly sum of 200K (7.2cpu) each, then yes, there won't be a market left for unexperimented Heavies.

Made some fresh ore mining unit schematics and on my 5th try I got an amazing success on experimenting and hit 91% result. After running off a few in the factory I'm now making 11kg/hr heavy harvesters to go along with the 8kg/hr mediums.

I hit 8kg/hr using light ore mining units in the 82-83% range and they're still at 8kg/hr using the 92% light ore schematic I have now.

If 12kg/hr is possible on heavies it'll most likely takenine experiment points (I have eight) and resources in the 970+ stat range.

I used 928 unit toughness steel for the 91% ore mining unit schematic and a mix of 928-949 metals for the 92% light ore mining schematic.
