Well myself I not gone and decorated one myself but I seen a few interesting houses but I not gone to tat in a few months.
Normaly the houses I see have the main room the most decorated with a painting or two on the wall. Central floor area with some arrangement of chairs and a few lamps/lights placed in certain areas to give the room a dim light effect. Some also gone and placed a assortment of weapons/gear on the walls.
Its not much of a answer but about the best I can give. I probly say your best bet is just travel the main player citys take a peak at some of there PA halls and travel around and check some of the more private located pa halls to get your ideas for designs.

I think a Tatoonie guild hall would be cool with a catina in the front, with private vendors taking up the little rooms (as shops) And a dungeon with a big rancor guardign it, It'll be Jabba the Hutt's palace!

Or to take advantage of the merchants in the rooms thing since there are so many rooms there and they all have doors, you could go for some sort of brothel theme.

I can *NOT* believe I just posted that.
Neither can I. But I like the way you think!
(of course, this is coming from the guy who has the, er, unique "discussion" going on between his vendors -- all female, btw -- when you enter his shop.)

Neither can I, I mean what is this 1912? They're called bordello's now.
