today someone in coronet told me that my price on large corellian houses was ridiculous and that someone else had a vendor full of them at 80k a pop.

now i dont begin to believe that this person is an architect by trade. most of you know why, for those that dont, just look up the schematic on swgcraft.com, a large house is no easy combine and takes up massive amounts of resources.

so now, since most of our high priced items, which are coincidentally also the ones that require no experimentation or quality resources, are being made dirt cheap, is all we have left harvestor sales?

cmon jedi revamp, hurry the hell up, this is ridiculous.

That is insane....quick someone go buy them all up and re-sell them at a real price

Seriously though, that is at least 20K less than I have ever seen them go for.

I wouldn't believe anybody quoting prices of another vendor when they are trying to negotiate a price with me.

So, I'd make them show me so I could buy up all that cheapstock.

being a BE, i have dealt with the horrible problem of hologrinders whoring themselves our for schematics for chef supplements.......

also the people selling crates for 20k (less than half what i would EVER sell them for).... i bought several crates and resold them

it's seriously the way to go with these stupid hologrinders, but i wish this problem wouldn't have surfaced in the first place

Ya there are several possibilities...

Yes it could be a hologrinder dumping items for cheap like you said. They go away before long.

Or as suggested the customer could have been lying to try and haggle you down on price. Pretty common tactic for some people. Or the customer could simply have been confused about the price on the other vendor. Maybe they saw a vendor with medium houses for 80k and remembered wrong. At least half the time people don't remember who the really cheap person was so its pretty doubtful.

Could bea simpleordinary undercutter. They usually burn themselves out.

Or could be a new architect who just doesn't know what to charge and is only looking at their own mining costs as a basis for their costs.

Wow, that's about the price of a med house. I guess hologrinding has hurt several professions. I think the only market it helped was people selling resources, but even now that's not that great anymore.

This is why I suggested long ago that mastering any profession should be NPC mission based. Instead of grinding a few items over & over again you could have NPC missions send you to jobsites where they pay for items you craft successfully. There could be a mission for every schematic below the master level, so you truly are a master & know all your products because you've made every single one at least once.

I have been an Architect for about 6 months. I have always charged around 80k for my large houses, and I do a fair amount of business. I am by no means a power crafter, and don't wish to be. I think 80k for a large house is about right.

What do materials cost on your server?

If they cost more than 1.5-2 cpu for grind metal and ore then 80k is pretty low. If ore runs 3 cpu then you're loosing money.

I think it comes down to how much resources are on that server, that plays a big part in it. Each server's economy is different I believe.

Ouch thats bad.

We have someone on Radiant selling BER13's for 100k each and has tons on the vendor, but I still charge 120k. Need to work out the prices on water and gas? ones as they are cheaper and more expensive respectively but im finally starting to settle down with my prices.

Resources cost about 2-3 cpu. I think My prices are low because I've been doing it since before the quality of materials did anything. I have adjusted my Harv prices, but the prices for houses and factories have remained constant. I may loose some money or resource costs, but that is why I mine my own stuff.
