We have talked about getting more lots for the Architect profession, But if we did this it would just Flood the profession with tons of Players just to get he extra lots.

Every crafter would be master what ever and /architect.

So even though i agree we need more lots i cant see them adding itto our skills.

An idea i had was Renting lots from NPCs.

There is a NPC in every town or area you rent lots from him in a progessive price.

1000 a week for 1

3000 a week for 2

5000 a week for 3 and so on.

open to all eliteCrafter professions i think it needs to be expensive so its not taken advantage of and so you dont hog up 200 lots a person.

Well thats my solutoin anyways.

Better fix would be to modify the construction tab.

Construction 1 - 3 gives +1 lots

Construction 4 gives +2 lots,

Master gives +3 lots.

That would be 8 additional lots.

Just do what McKegg industries does. Rent lots from players. Helps them out with cash and helps you out with more slots.

No thanks, I do not need other players skimming resources out of my harvesters.

All the Elite crafing professions have a experimentation branch. It would only be fair if each one had 2 lots per branch. It would keep ppl from doing just one single profession to get an advantange. And most ppl won't do more then 2-3 elite professions just for the extra lots. (14 skill points per branch for 2 more lots + 6 for the novice elite profession.)

Just find people you can trust. I have 5 machines that my friends set up for me for free. I trust them all completely.

I disagree that people will become architects just to get the lots. There are multiple reasons why:

1) Who wants to work that hard just for some extra lots?

2) Who wants give up that many skill points for extra lots?

3) Who wants to use that many resources just for extra lots.

In other words I believe the effort will be too much greater than the reward for getting up the arch tree.

And I have 2 Solar Gennies and 4 Medium harvesters set up for me and I trust them. However it is an inconvenience to THEM to haveto take them down then follow me around and put them back up.

I am tired of USING my friend's goodwill just because the Dev want player interaction. I was posting about accepting a person's offer to "rent" there lots out. Those people cannot be trusted until they have a nice long list of Architects willing to attest to their honesty.

I like both ideas, renting would be cool when they fix the admin and you don't need the other person to put them down and move them for you.

But the Construction does need something else, extra lots would be a very nice addition

Why couldn't they just make the lots a tangible thing? Every player starts with 10. They can sell them if they don't want them. When you place a structure it uses up however many lots and you get them back when you reclaim the deed for the structure.

I like the idea of being able to sell lots too. The only problem is that some people have multiple copies of the game, so they'll just create a character, sell off the lots to their maincharacter for like 1 credit each, delete the 'lot mule' character and start over with a new one. We'd end up with players having 100 or more lots and the planets would be covered in harvestors. There's really no way to do lot sells without it being horribly abused.

Most fighter classes have little use for their lots as they are too stupid to know what they can bank for selling resources. Guess being a fighter and stupid goes together.

You can set up an arrangement where you can /structuretransfer stuff to them, have them add you to the admin list and you are all set, until the next resource shift. A better way would be to join/make a PA and have everyone mine some resources for the PA. PAs are there for a reason and can be very useful. Otherwise you got your 10 lots on the unstable servers just like everyone else. More lots would cause more crashes with greater db strain. I would personally rather play the game with 10 lots than to stare at a loading screen for hours hoping to use my 20 plots at some point.
