Thread: Only we can fix the Architect profit margin
The only way i see Architects getting there fair share of profits is unfortunatly by all of us agreeing on a base minimun to our prices. Here is the list i use as a guide to what i charge (or was) sinceprofits are just too lowi only stock my vendor when i feel like it and decided to to become an armorsmith. This is by no means my price list, currently what I have is my own backup stock of equipment. And i priced them $40,000 above what is listed here for the simple reason that they arefor my use, but since i no longer leaselots i have a surplus and I don't realywant to sell them unless I truly profitI don't take special orders I don't trade resources whats on my vendor is what i got and thats it. Now you must keep in mind that armor sells for anywhere from 10x to 50x and weapons far far more than that, in my opinion this guide is very conservative especialy for industrial equipment (Factories, Med. and Heavy Harvesters), which by the way without them, nobody would be making anything above teir II or for that matter the Millions upon Millions of credits.
Resources Min. Suggested Price
PA Hall 55422x5$277,110
Heavy Mining Equipment
Medium Mining Equipment
Houses
- Small 3380 x5 $16,940
- Medium20600 x5 $103,000
- Large37134x5 $185,670
Here is why that wont work:

I've stuck to these Prices since the beginning and haven't changed anything...except increasing the price on the Large. I'm still busy as hell.
Small - 15k
Medium - 65k
Large - 160k
Factories - 45k (just because I don't get a whole lot of requests plus it's mostly friends in the community)
Harvesters - From 3k Personal to 17k Medium to 120k large (cause they're a pain in the a$$)
And yeah, the Fusion and Chemical are now 150k each. Too much downtime waiting on factory parts.
I like the pricing plan....now only if those **edit** PA architects grinding would stop giving away structures.
We need to do what we can, and I think some of your prices are too low. A PA hall for 277k? I would not charge less than 500k. That is the one thing people really want, and for a group it isn't that much money.
Overcharge on things people have to have, factories, extractors... Expect a lower profit maring on things people want but don't need, houses... To try and calculate your prices the same across all products is dumb. Certain things have a higher utility than others, charge more for those.
Another potential fix would have to be done by the Devs, and that is to not have an unlimited number of credits available. There is only so much money in the world, and it is what drives the economy. I mean if I can constantly run missions and get money, not matter how often I do it, then what incentive do I have to charge someone for my products. Granted it is my time and my energy, but for the experience I would be willing. The credits need to go into circulation, not just dissapear into the void. Wear do my credits for my harvesters go? Does the harvester put them back into the economy? Noooo. Do they go to the bank? Not to my knowledge. Do they go back into paying for missions? Maybe, I am not sure, but I would be surprised if they made it back into circulation which, in turn, lowers the value of a credit. Pretty soon it will be like dealing in Mexican Pesos to the US Dollar.
I can't wait to see someone spamming this message running through town.... "Fizzes for sale only $5k"
I like those prices. I would agree to them except for Items that require factory work.
Why charge 5x for a small house and 5x for a guild hall.
It takes several hours to make a guild hall..
I say 6x for anything requiring factory work
As for the people selling super low thats ok. go for it. I know a corp on Kettemoor that sells WAY cheap.
They have tons of business.. So much in fact that they are turning people away or telling them there is a 2 week waiting list. If you want to do all that work for less profit thats fine.. I can offer items same day for 5x per ore price and I almost have to turn people away.
