Ok I am new to this game and I was looking for some positive feedback/help. I am getting close to getting the EXP I need for Carbineer Specialist. What else can I be? My base class was Marksman, what other base classes can I be and still be a Carbineer? Since I am already playing my Marksman/Carbineer Char what else should I train? I am looking for a fighting char who can solo when needed but can help the group out when needed also. I would like to get a pet or be able o heal.

Any positive feedback/help would be appreciated.

well, you basically answered your own question, be a Carbineer / CH / Medic, Master Carbineer, Master Medic, no need to master CH as it gives you nothing

Pick up scout and medic.

Harvest meat off dead animals and use it to make stim packs (Many animal meats have high Overall Quality and Potential Energy, the two most important qualities used in medicine crafting). Crafting your own stims instead of buying them will help you climb up organic chem column of medic. Heal others in battle with you to get medical xp the fastest.

Use the scoutingxp gained from obtaining the animal meat to fill Explore and Hunting skill trees of scout, which are the prerequisites for for Creature Handler.

You'll find that /actionshot2 is very effective against a single melee NPC (animals or brawlers), so once you hit novice carbineer you can destroy many tough animals (many red cons) which will give you better carbine xp, better scouting xp, better harvesting yields and often better quality meat for stims.

I used these tactics to reach combat medic rather quickly... but I made it to combat medic just before they took away xp for healing pets. I made it in just under the wire

what mikeb1113 said...that was excellent advice =)

once you get to CH, get tame1/train1 first...this will allow you to have much better pets. medic is nice also..if you don't have enough points to master it, or you don't want to, drop the organic chem and pharmocology lines. OC lets you craft meds..and that's about it. pharm lets you use more sophisticated medicines...but currently all stim- and wound-a's and -b's are med-use 5, which you get as a novice medic. i would suggest getting first aid1, then diag1, then first aid through 4, then diag through 4. since your primary role won't be healer, your mind ham probably won't want to be set up for that role. the increase in max healed comes off of the first-aid line, which you'll find more useful than healing more often off of diag.

a quick way to level up is to get some nice experimented stim-b's (like a factory crate or so) and PL yourself off of a carbineer spamming specials. if this goes on long enough, we might just get that reduction in special cost we want, too, hehe

Ok, I can't seem to get past this Homer stage.

When I tried experimenting, it only gives me the option to experiment on storage capacity on the fusion. How are people getting higher extraction rates?

Higher extractions rates are a product of the quality of the mining unit, if I understand it correctly.

I don't have enough skill points to do everything so I have to choose between the Offense Tree and the Defense Tree.

Which One should I choose?

Please Help with my ideas. My decision changes everytime I look at the skill flowchart lol.

the defense vs state effects is quite useful, I dont have it yet and I constantly get stunned and intimidated. For PvP however, the ranged defense and def vs knockdown is somewhat vital. It basically depends on your goal in the game which is better.
