I would like to get a clear answer on this question (since I wasn't able to figure it out or find the answer elsewhere):

- If I choose to make a "blueprint" after successful experimentation sesion, can I use this blueprint in general/specialized crafting tool to make just few copies of that item? Or does the blueprints works only with factories?

i think blueprints work only with factories.

Let us say that I wish to experiment on the extraction rate of an Ore Mining Unit.

The Unit requires Steel, Metal and Inert Gas

The Stats effecting Extraction rate are UT(50%0, HR(25%0 and SR(25%)

Assume thatI have a fantastic Steel with 950+ in those important stats....

If I use a 'Metal' with 'less good' statsIbelievethis will be averaged out with the stats of the Steel? I could, of course, just use more of the Steel.

Inert Gas doesn't have the stats that effect Extraction rate so (apart from Mal prehaps) it's stats don't matter?

Well that question is rather hard. We use so little of Reactive Gas and Inert Gas that I have never experimented with different to see if this has any effect on the final out come, as I still have a little over 100k of the stuff I mined few months back when I was running low.

When I log in throw down a gas harvesters on the worst stuff I can find see if it does make a differince.

when experimenting say on effectivenes do you put all the points in at the same time or 1 point at a time

i thought maybe 1 point at a time will give you less failure or dosnt it ?

In general I will put as many points into the row as possible. I usualy get the best results that way. The exception is when making composite (with the resources I use at the moment), if I get an amazing success on my first experiment on quality, I will be left with two boxes for a second expermient. I only use one of them because another amazing, or even a great success will max it out.

Was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on experimentation. Im a Master Doc, I use a med droid, I also experiment in a research center. I have tried putting in all the points at once, 2 at a time, 1 at a time.

My problem is I get a failure or moderate success at least 1 time on almost everything I craft. Last night for example took making 7 buffpacks to get 1 that didint' have at least one failure in it, some had 2 failures in it. This is usuing the best resources available.

Is this normal? Am I just having a streak of Bad Luck? Can anyone suggest anything that might improve my success?

I'm guessing your crafting tool sucks. I was having the same problem when I first started as medic, had a master artisan make me a new food\chemical crafting tool and I haven't had a failure since then.

I'm using a +14.99 crafting tool or something close to that lol. I love doctoer, but when resources cost 100c/u and you still fail all the time, I might have to switch

Oh, well that blows my theory out of the water. hehehe. Dunno what to tell you, I haven't had any failures in a while

It's normal. I would suggest going to a research center city to craft, the difference was very noticeable for me. Then I suggest making crates of the packs, better waste 5times the resourcesto make 10+ good packs than 5 times the resources for one pack.

On buff packs, I usually have to make 3-5 to get the 3 or 4 great/amazing successes i need. I suggest making a schematic and creating the packs at least 10-20 at a time. That way, it balances out.

You may want to ask who made your droid if the food/chem crafting was experimented successfully high. I was lucky enough to have a friend that grinded DE for a holo, I aquired the needed resource(best i could get) and he made me an amazing advanced r3.

Just a thought,
