im starting up my architect business, have all houses factories and harvesters in stock but have a question about furniture. I want to put some items on there just because theyre quick easy sales however i dont want to go thru the trouble of stocking tons of furniture, can you guys suggest maybe the top 5-10 furniture items that sell at a respectible level? Or in your opinion is it better to have a wide variety of furniture and just a small amt of items for each?
Thanks in advance

I would say that most of the master lvl furnitures sell well. I sell tons of white furniture, candles, torches, lamps. I also sell tons of high rated crafting stations.

I've done well with factory runs of paintings. They seem to make decent money. Especially if you are producing in bulk.
In addition to that, don't forget to rename yourfurniture something more interesting than couch style 1.

Plants, paintings, lamps, torches, candles. In that order.

I used to stock everything type of furniture, as well as keeping a full stock of all houses, PA's, and harvesters. I found that the furniture was taking way to much time and not bringing in enough money.
I now only make the white furniture and looted furniture. I do fill custom orders when the come because they're quick and easy. But for the most part I was sick of spending 1 to 2 days each week just making furniture.

I look at it like this: if you have the schematic - make it. I've often gotten /tells or emails from people who love my vendor as I try to keep it stocked with all the furniture I know how to make. Seeing how I'm a Master Arch, that's quite a bit, but every metal chair, divan, couch, or whatever, almost always sells on my vendor because I keep it stocked and I operate under the assumption that there's always going to be someone looking for an item and it's best that I have it as they may purchase other things as well.
Now if you want to know what my top selling piece of furniture is, that would have to be the Metal Chair. I have no idea why people buy these so much, but I have to make a new batch of them (usually about 100 or so) every week and even then, I get some people buying factory crates of 5 or 10 at once. Beds of any kind are also a hot item and sell out quick. Only problem is that you need copious amounts of wooly hide for those and so I've got to sell them higher than most items simply because of the wooly. Even then, they go pretty quick.

I stock 5 kinds of all furniture, I try to keep it stocked to that level but it's impossible, I craft furniture once a week, I normally run sofa chairs in crates, and Master Furniture in crates, and torches. but normally once you achieve a level that you are happy with then it's not hard to maintain it. just depends on your level of stock and how many items that you like to see come off the list at the end of sell, and you have to restock it, I dont mind the restock but some people do, if you are one of these people then dont keep a large amount of the smaller items. I
I only keep 5 of each because some times people come in and buy the holy crap outta it and I would rather have it on there and have to restock every once in a while then to not restock it and not sell it.

I keep 5-20 of just about *everything* - that way I don't have to restock unless someone bought a new house and needs several of everything. People are impressed.....
As for best sellers: plants move the quickest, I sell via bazaar and vendor. I can move1-3 crates a week. After than, containers (chests, armoires) do well; lamps can sit for a while, thensomeone takes 2 crates. Metal chairs & square metal chairs, again I can move 1-2 crates a week on the bazaar.
But I really started selling well when I started keeping a few of *everything* on my vendor, because it's so piecemeal what people will buy a few of!

Candles and the floor lamps sell pretty well. The master level furniture and the furniture requiring at least 100 hide. Oh yes, try to be creative with your furniture titling. Only title furniture with "." if requested. I don't recommend putting "Glass table by genericcrafter". I'm not sure people are very tolerant of their furniture advertising to them.

I myself stock 2 of each furniture item, and I think it works rather well for me. My biggest sellers, though are definitely lighting, be it torches, candles, or lamps.

Torches seem to sell the best for me, because they do not decay. Next to that is the lighting, followed by master furniture and statues.

I stock all furniture, at least I try to, and I sell plenty ov everything. But I make most on art. 12 different paintings, 6k each. Make 1 mill a week on art alone.

Like everyone else said, plants and lamps seem to go best. Bestine paintings also sell very well. After that, the best-selling furniture item (for me anyway) seems to be the Sofa Chair. I sell these at 2500 creds and they sell like hot cakes every week. And of course the master level furniture.
But I think in the end, it's best to stock every item, so that people know they can come to you for any type of furniture. Stocking only a handful isn't going to cut it I think.
