In the begging i couldnt keep enough stuff made up now i got to theed and other large cities and i see 8 other master architects doing a /yell ad campaigne. i message them and noone is moving anything. So i guess everyone on kauri server has all the furniture and deeds they will need! What elite professions are coming out and is my ma going to be worth me holding on to?

While I don't think it's been positively confirmed, the upcoming Urban Planner profession will reportedly branch off of Master Architect. So if you're interested in building spaceports, cantinas, hospitals, banks, and other buildings for player cities, it's worth holding onto Master Architect.

"see! its starting already and it will go more worse."

First post for this player woohoo.

I feltcompelled to say...Yes, Iagree. I didn't buy in to this theory much before (saturated market, no decay, etc.)as I read this thread throughout the weeks. Now it's becoming evident in my biz thatit's happening. I see many of the same customers, players in general, in both the cities I haveshops, and they already have what I make and don't need more for the time being. Ifind that I don't get asked like I used to, my vendors sit idle manysessions, andthus often much time goes by without asale and it's becoming difficult to make an income

I'm finding it a lil stressful myself. I worked hard to be an MA and most other paths don't interest me like this one did from the beginning. So my future in the game is looking a bit uncertain at the moment.

As far as ideas go on how to curtail this....

Theidea that caught my eye a few weeks ago here was the components of the houses and installations wearing out and needing to be replaced. That would create a recurring market and I thought it sounded like the path of least resistance as well asmore acceptable to players perhaps than decaying structures in general. Furniture needs to break, to me that is obvious. If the furniture ever gets any 'functionality', would be very easy to make it quit functioning over time. And furn SHOULD have functionality. The bed should be slept in and revive ham. The plants should need watering or die. The torches should have to be lit and run out of juice sometimes. There should be interractions allowed when sitting on the chairs, couches and loveseats that make the furniture useful.

Thats a good idea. But what about it having a chance to break but also you can repair it.. Having to hire a MA to come fix all of your structors? Now thats interested.

The idea I think was that an ownermust buy the replacement components from an architectto insert into the structures themselves to fix them, not actually have the architect repair the item. If the owner didn't take care of his structure and too many components failed, making it costly, he may even decide to buy a new house or extractorinstead of doing all the repairs. I saw it submitted more than once and I thought it made a whole lot of sense...

Remove the question mark from your thread's title please.

I am only staying in it to build our city's structures, after that is complete I am kissing Architecture goodbye. Thanks Devs for creating a profession that will self-destruct within 6 months after the game goes live.

I like the idea of having to replace the entirestructure at certain intervals anyway. I didn't become an architect just to end up building power cores or wall segments for people to buy. People would basically feed a deed into the old structure to renew it, or in the case of harvesters, just buya new one.

I would also like to see some new specialty classes like someone the makes just advancedfurniture, or someone that can specialize in housesto customize floorplans andchange the color or materials of walls/floors/ceilings/exteriors, or someone who does installations, whocouldalso haveadvanced harvesting abilities. A lot of the problem with architects is that everyone who goes into the field comes out exactly the same, and there are a lot of people going into the profession. If peoplecould go into a specific field instead of just mastering everything, then each architect's skills would be more demanded.

What makes it even worst is there thinking about putting the vendor fees back on NPC mobs and making it be /1000 the total value on your vendor per 45 mins . So if you have 5 large houses at 150k on a vendor that is a total of 750k so 750,000 / 1000 = 750c ever 45 mins. now take 750c x 32 = 24k a day to let deeds sit on your vendor? when we barly make any money on the stuff to begain with. The problem here is that we deal in HIGH priced Items not quanity. This does not effect someone selling a wepaon for 8k this effects architechs more.

indeed

its already hard enough mining enough resources to build a larger structure. it takes alot longer and more time to mine it, therefore its a higher price. Creating vendors based on price %would not be fair to us. A weaponsmith selling 8 pistols at 15k a peice still uses less resources in crafting than a large generic house. Yet our 100k large house would be taxed. Say NO to taxes, thats what urban planners are for=p, leave them out of vendors

Devs said there is talk of Architects making battle stations once Space exists.

Peronally I dont know why droid engineers are getting the ability to build the ship chasies.. A droid engineer making a battleship?? I think architects should have this role.. ah well..

Yes this Professions is dead.. Last nails to coffin come when they release player cities and all NON UBER PA architects realize A) noone will want what they are selling b) PA's will be making them for themselves. There will be no money in it.

This is the sort of astute business acumen that has garnered you the reputation you have in this forum. What good would millions of credits do you once sales reach the zero point and the market is fully saturated? What a good business man wants when the market no longer exists is to know that he did what he could to hasten the arrival of market saturation. Profits imagined based on incomplete cost analysis are far superior to profits realized based on market conditions, I think it was Sam who said that.

Please do continue to bless us with your wisdom. The best part of reading your posts is that you walk the fine line between being a blatant troll and a blatant fool. As a reader I am constantly wavering between believing that no one could be silly enough to actually mean the things you say and then suddenly wondering if you in fact might be just that silly.
