REALLY
Candles, let them decay.
Lamps? Come on. When's the last time your lamp quit working after 40 days?
Or let us change the "light bulb"
Lol, I want to make crates of light bulbs...
The damn torches burned forever!

did you report this in the focus thread? Go to the dev tracker and look it up in "IN TESTING". The decay issue was reported on the test center forums, and of course it was ignored so they could push it live.

after testing a few times, it seems only one in the crate will decay rest are fine when pulled. if made by hand they don't decay at all from you to the vendor. Fun fun.

**being sarcastic**
Oh come on now!! Candles burn out realistically in just a matter of a couple days.. getting 10 days on a candle is a gift! And I always throw my lamps awayevery 30days and get new ones! I mean, just 10 uses ago, I had myPlymouth color customized, and I have an appointment to get it recolored in 10 more uses... oh and I am forever getting patterns to things that I cant make *COUGH Droidsmith Toolkit COUGH*
**Being truthful**
A timer on your lamps andcandles is rotten! We all want to set our houses up and then just enjoy it for a long time.. not have to change out all the appliances every 10 days. Sheesh, Devs, would you want to play with these items?

Was afraid of this decay on vendors. I don't believe people are going to buy any candles or lamps if they are decayed by more than 25% on the vendor. What do I do with these items? Destroy them and make new ones for the vendors? I guess my solution for the time being is to not stock them on the vendors and only make them by request. Not a great solution.

Just added 200 to my vendor - In the factory crate in the hopper they "appear" to be decaying, when the crates are loaded into the vendor they "appear" to be still decaying - but if you pull them from the "decayed" crate and sell then individually, the decay vanishes and they go back to their original lifespan.

ok, so the decaying in the crates is a bad thing, but I have a feeling that is just a bug that can be fixed. As for some people saying remover decay I don't agree. They finnaly gives us something to sell that people want and now people want them to last forever?

40 days in game time is a little over a year.
Sounds about right.

The candles in a crate won't decay except for the last one pulled out. As reported on TC

Candles and lamps decay on your vendor. I just put up a bunch on my vendor after the patch and they're all decaying. The ones in the crates don't decay but the singles do.

Lovely.
I also noticed they are very hard to target in your house.
