What is the maximum xp a chef can have if I already have some of the lvl 4 boxes filled? I need to go back to a trainer but don't want to leave the planet yet, got too much stuff to do. Thanks a bunch if you can tell me

The max xpyou can have banked is twice the amount of your highest skill using that xp.

So if you have enough xp to train Cooking IV (70400) but haven't learned it yet, you can store up to 140800 Food crafting xp before you stop earning any more.

Now, if you use that, and have more xp banked than the next highest box, I'm not sure what happens. Say you (somehow) grind until getting 140800 and then train Cooking IV. If the only thing you had left to train in chef was Entrees I (32000, allowable banked xp64000), I'm not sure if you'd lose the 6400 you'd beover.

To be safe, if you're high enough to be worried about losing xp, train the lowest level skill first. After training Entrees I, you'd have 108800 xp banked, which would put you at 38400 banked after training Cooking IV, well under the new cap of 89600 (from Entree II's 44800 xp requirement).

Is it true that XP is capped at 3k? I have been killing everything on Dath, and can not seem to get anything higher than 3k XP. This seems to hold true even when I group. A long time ago, i was receiving 5K+ for the same critters on Dath.

Why the BH forum, you ask? Because I am a bounty hunter, and you guys are very responsive.

Not rue, it is 100% dependent on the damage you do. FOr now, this does not include DOTs, so this may be the issue.

I can still get 5000-5500 or so XP from killing webmasters on Endor or Dragonets on Tat.

I always use a DOT attack to begin with, I wonder if this is affecting my XP.

The xp problems ppl are encountering are due to the fact that they recently made the challenge level penalty more severe. So, if you (the player) is using a pistol and are lvl 4 marksman, and you go to kill a lvl 40 creature, you won't get as much xp as if you were a master pistoleer/0040 BH. Anybody who ever played diablo2 would be familiar with this concept since in that game you'd get insanely low xp for killing a lvl 98 creature and you were only lvl 60. Hope that helps.

Go clean out a factional park with high-end NPCs. . . you'll rack up points there. Just hit the Imp base on Corellia yesterday and made a killing in XP. And, I got a satchel and 2 DL44s!!!

How about this. I recently mastered commando and pistoleer at the same time. Used a launcher pistol and still had 3k max xp. i dont know what could be more uber than that.

FYI....i also used the flame thrower with teh same results with 3-4 players in my group.

Go to Dath and try Giant Baz nitches(11K missions) 4K+ exp, rancors are 4K+, and Nightsister rangers are 5K+ and decent loot (I was offered 1 mil for a Nightsister lance I picked up

).

Thats funny, giant baz nitches are exactly what i hunt. I wonder why 3k is my max xp, unless its the DOT effect.

I use DOT's on rancors and get about 4k pistol xp on each one, while with a group.

If you letting the DOT do the work you'll get significantly less xp, depending on the situation a DOT can be useless, you can drop the mob before the first tick.
