I heard earlier on in development that if you crafted an item like a weapon, and it was used by another player you would gain crafting experience from them using the item. Is this feature implemented, to be implemented or just totally dropped?

I would really like to see it; It would encourage people to make decent quality weapons and sell them instead of grinding through thetree destroying all of their created items simply because it is too much effort to run to the bazaar to sell them.

You do get usage XP now. There are some bugs I think with it still but it does work and I do get some xp. For the grinders though you can't compete with standing in front of a crafting station for 10 hours making and destroying stuff. If you want to just have fun and make and sell stuff usage XP helps.

I'm grinding through the Medicine Crafting tree/column of the Combat Medic discipline and noticed that crafting a Ranged Stim B only warrants 65 xp so its taking me forever. With my surg. droid present, I can craft tons of stuff that I can't even use (like Reg Stim Ds) and I'm wondering...what items crafted give the most crafting xp in the medicine world. Thanks, Rii

The amount of crafting XP is based on the amount of resources used. I believe that it is 2x the total resources.

Excellent thread. Thanks! My experimenting is definitely slowing me down. Two crafting tools seem enough though. The 65xp looks respectable in relative terms. Definitely need to get some Eleton Gas for Adv. Infection Amps, and I can actually use those things. Thanks again.

Greetings everyone, i have a question hopefuly you can answer. Im working on becomming a novice architect and i would like to know whats the best items to craft to gain good general crafting xp. The only reason why i went through Engineering so quickly was because i am a scout, and buiding traps and camps put me right through it. I built enough camps and traps to supply a third world country. Now i need alot more xp to get novice architect, so i was wondering if there was something else i could craft that would get me more xp points. A Multiperson camp gives me 50 general crafting xp points. I tried crafting deeds for personal mineral extractors, but that only gave me 9 general craftingxp points. Why is this so low, it takes a fair amount of resources, soi figired i would give memore. Is it because it counts at structure crafting instead of general crafting? Ok well thats it, any tips would be appreciated, thanks.

Thanks for the tips. Yea Basically ive just been sitting around grinding for the xp. I usually use two crafting kits so while one of them is finishing with the item, i can be crafting on the other one. Since im a scout, crafting traps has given me a good chunk of my xp as well. Alright, so its what i figured, craft away!

I did it in practice mode, with 2 crafting kits, basicly creating other crafting kits, and just alternating the kits. It took me about a day and half straight (actually about a week non straight). (Of course I crafted other items here and there too). However, I'm told that making Bone Chest Armor gives you a fair amount too. Not too sure on that one though.

it really doesn't matter what you make. everything gives the exact same amount of xp per resource used. if you're just looking to grind, drop into practice mode and use whatever materials you have to make things. crafting tools are good because if i recall they use metal. thats it. so, you just throw down a harvester or 2 or moreto get metal for you and grind away. Bone chest armor gets you big chunks, but requires a lot of hides and bones to make and their are a lot of subcomponents so it can be difficult to keep up with the demands.

just some thoughts.

I made a lot of traps. Get missions, throw traps, harvest resorces, make more traps, get more missions. That wayI could do something besides just sit andgrind (which you getto do a lot of once youmake Novice arch), and you even get a little money coming in.

I think Bone Chest Armor gave me about 600XP per piece. That seemed to be the fastest way to grind through for me. But you have to have Engineering IV before you can make them I think. With Survey IV, I was more than half way through the skill tree before I could make them.

Okay so I know taht they changed how scout crafting is rewarded. But I haven't really seen any changes in my character. Am I mistaken or does crafting tents and Traps give you wilderness survival skills? Or is it traps = trapping skilss and camps = survival? Or is it both give you general scouting experiance?
