Are the following stats correct?
Small: 150 Items / 2 lots = 75 Items per lot @ 384 credits a day.
Med: 150 Items / 2 lots = 75 Items per lot @ 816 credits a day.
Large: 250 Items / 6 lots = 41 Items per lot @ 1200 credits a day.
GH: 250 Items / 9 lots = 27 Items per lot @ 2400 credits a day.

Looking at the stats above, why does anyone use large and medium houses (besides the guild leader)? It must be some phallic symbolism.
This creates two problems that I see. First, either people are going to build 5 small houses and perpetuate the urban sprawl that is Naboo and Cor.... OR people with one large house can only own 250 items plus inventory. This means they're less likely to spend their money on all the stuff architects create, because they cant waste the items space on something that isn't going to make them money some how.

5 small houses is better storage per credit, true, but at a whopping 300 creds a day, I can fart and make that much money.
Its a status symbol, plain and simple.
Wanna see my large Naboo?

I use smalls for storage and mediums for display since there's more open space.
Once you're an established character, the difference in maintenance is moot.
Reactive gas brings 2.5cpu.
That's 120 Units.
Assuming a 100% concentration with a BER of 13, it would take a little over 9 minutes of "collecting" to cover the expense.

It's just you.
The storage vs lots is horribly out of balance. There's no point to be disputed there.
The original poster asked why one would use a large or medium vs a small.
I stated my reasons for using mediums instead of smalls.
The rest was simply to play off a previous poster's comments about how easily he could make money to pay for the difference in maintenance costs of a small vs medium.
Sheesh... what's the point in humor when you have to explain it?

For the record, I'm more worried about Items/Lot. But the money doesn't make sense either.
I'd rather everyone had one large house instead ofseveral small. Theres less crap around taking up room in player cities. But thats just not smart for lot useage.
If money is not an object...which it certainly is.... i would just use the input hopper of my factories. They only take 1 lot and hold mucho crap.

Yes its true you get more storage / lot with small houses or factories.
Large houses are used by people who just want it for decorative purposes and are not concerned with using their lots for other things.

huh?? is it just me or did you miss the point..
To me the its not completely the money. its the over all fact that having a larger house is usless...and the house vs storage vs cost is not balanced..like so many other things in this game...

I just wish they'd revamp the Corellian/Generic Med houses. Barely any more room in them - compared to the 3 floors of the other Med houses. In fact, a small Corellian/Generic house with right angles in it has moresqare footfloor space than a Medium.
