Thread: Interior Design Ideas and Pictures?

Hey there folks... I just started Architect and am at 0001, enjoying myself tremendously. Yes, structural mods are tedious, but making furniture and crafting stations right now and seeing it fly off the bazaar is really exciting. I plan, however, to add in an interior design component. I definitely am not meaning, in this post, to steal ideas - I just want to get a look at what people have come up with, and how they did it, to spark some ideas of my own for different things.

I've seen Cabinets placed around as counters, and I've also seen the complex fish task (can't remember how it was made though :/) Any other fun designs out there that can be described, or even better, have pictures? Using the architecture of the room, and the quirks of the furniture, plus a few outside items, is what I am optimally going after.

Take a visit to the waypoints in my sig. I share a large house on Talus, so item count is a little tight, but I did quite a bit of decorating in the living room. Still have work to do, but it's fun when I get bored crafting or miner running. The feature is the shrine to Zutan....Zutan is mighty. At the corellia waypoint, there is a mini-shrine to Zutan, but pretty sweet given it's in a small house. Anyway, hope you can make it. Zutan likes visitors and new disciples....

yeah, i know you're like "**edit** is zutan?" muahaha, you'll see!

Upon hitting Housing II I built myself a medium Naboo to make a showroom. However, it's not going to pan out into your typical 'furniture sets abound' showroom. I've been using the furniture I can make (Furniture I) to make other, more appealing things. So far I have a sales counter complete with sales registers, a full length cafe table, and what kinda reminds me of a bus station seating bench. I'll get some screenshots this afternoon.

Also, a tip that is easy and really impresses people. When furnishing a home with couches, I'm sure you've noticed the couches only have that one seating point. So, when you set a couch, /move and /rotate an ottoman under each of its cushions (make sure it's facing the right way) This way you can have multiple seatings on one couch.

Basicallie i think u might havegotten the fish tank idea for Gveedo

Btw, i do think Bloodfin is one of the most CREATIVE servers on tried and tested

Read Game guides on interesting mission items cool stuff to decorate if u want a live in look

maybe in future the developers will add more items and more customisations for the color of furniture that

will help a great deal

I do have one question, actually. What are you using that looks like a long reed? At first I thought it was a fishing pole, but I don't see how it can be. (the bars to the cage, the fish tank siding)

While the servers are down...

Here's a design I am proud of. It's a semicircle counter - this one is a sales counter. I have one in my showroom as a bar. It works great either way.

I say dump the current furniture and give us multiple basic geometric modular shapes with texture options. Less useless, unused items they have to keep up with and more creative options for us. This could be a win for everyone. All kinds of unique furniture items could be build with this. Just look what is being done now with aquariums and all the stuff you guys have mentioned. I would get more excited about this than any amount of experimentation options...
