We got no love on this comming update. Absolutely no fixes nor anything added. Check the recent updates page. Hmmm lots of other stuff fixed but absolutely nothing for architect. This is going to Test center first and wont hit live for probably a week or 2. This means we wont get anything till player cities comesout and as far as i know that will be for the new Urban Developer or whatever. So by the looks of it we arnt being heard and wont get anything new, nor a decay system for at least 2 months.

Kinda suks that we get nothing, but I suppose thats what we should expect from the devs as arch's were lucky enuff to have a working class from the start. Oh well better go sell some minerals and pay maintanance.

They're limiting schematics to 100 uses. Do you not feel the love?

*sigh*

You should change the post subject to "All hate this update."

And no I am not trying to be funny...

( shakes head )

The last thing we need is for them to do something that makes architects more attractive than it already is, there are too many of us now.

Ever try to make 50 walls?

That's 500 structure mods you have to put in the hopper by hand. That's not counting the fact that you can only put 92 in on top of the metal and ore because the hopper can only take 100 items. It can be done in one run. I've done it. It's a pain though.

After the next big publish, this fix will be in: "When manufacturing an item that takes components, you do not have to extract the components from the crate to put in the input hopper. You can just put the crate in, and the manufacturing station will get the components as needed."

This, by far, is the best love I've seen and it benifits architects the most, IMO.

92=90 in my above post.

Yes, and do you know how long it takes somone with only 10 lots to get that many materials?

The game should not be geared toward us that use others lots ( yes I am one also ). 100 items is was was intended in the first place and I am glad they fixed that bug.

The schematic change isn't a big deal, you just loose 10% of materials you needed to make 1000 items due to having to create 10 schematics instead of 1.

Who makes 1000 items of anything off of one schematic? How many here have deleted 1000 count schematics that churned out less than 500 due to a resource shift?

Not a big deal, IMO. I'm not going to miss 1000 count schematics, however, in my 50 wall example, I'd rather have one 500 count SM schematic over five 100 count schematics, but again, not a big deal.

I think there should be a different limit for components than for final assemblies. That is, if an item is a component (or even a sub component) then it should have a higher schematic capability than a final (or component) assembly.

So things like memory modules, stuct. mods, small struct. storage should have a higher schematic capabilty.

That's a content issue. I'd rather bugs have higher priority than content, but that could be just me.

yea I agree Bugs are an issue and im glad to see that finally Bio Engineer got some but as far as player economy goes I think since Arch got no love on the first major update, we would get some this update but nooo. So ya bugs are good but some money love for arch's would be nice. Add something even if u dont do decay or whatever.

To those who just dont know it is very easy to use up the 1000 schematic for an architect. At least for those of us who like to also play the game instead of work it all the time.

We tend to harvest for 1-2 weeks, then sit around and run largefactory runs. It takes 200,000 ore to make 1000 structural modules. Not an entirely out of reach number mind you. You spend 1 week with 8 harvesters mining 7000 ore per day for what about 7-8 days before rollover. Thats 7000 times 7 times 8 equals 392,000 ore in 7 days (448,000 in 8 days).

The second week you mine the odd aluminum, copper and steel you need (maybe some gas or chems on the side since they are in such high demand) and then start crafting. Doyou not see how having the 1000 schematic limitallows us to go on quests and hunt with our friends rather than sit in front of thefactory every day waiting on that 100 count limit to beused up?

You can easily exceed the 1000 count limit as an architect and I dont understand why all the architects here arenot up in arms over the nerf to our class (and playing time / style of play) 400,000 ore will make 2 runs of 1000 structural modules, leaving you plenty of time to go have fun with your friends. Then when those runs are finished you have 400 wall modules to make which if we are nerfed requires you to run back4 times to turn the factory back on. Without the nerf you would just let the 400 wall modules run and be done with it.

Of all theprofessions we are the only one that has a real need to keep this at 1000schematiclimit and it really isnt hurting anyoneor anything if we did leave it, so why change it other than to nerf our profession once again?

And as you can see you dont need aPA pushing you to have need of this ability. You only need to rethink the way you conduct business a little. Alittle bit of combat exp will earn you enough credits to keep your harvesters running while you are waiting on them tomine, though admittedly having a notification when harvesters stop working for whatever reason would bevery nice. That way youknow when it is time to get back to work. Endor and Dath missions pay pretty good when you are grouped, better if you are solo and can handle them. (Endor 25k missions are doable with 2 people if both have pets and at least one person has healing abilities)

(also note that you can actually run this system out for 3 weeks if youmine two different types of ore you can actually gather 800,000 to 900,000 ore in two weeks since thestructure schematics can take two different types of ore pushing your factoryruns out to 8000 to 9000 structural modules and 800 to 900 wall modules) also you can redeed your factory and be using10 lots to harvest with pushing your 2 week total to over 1,120,000 oreand 11,200 structural modules and 1120 wall modules.
