Thread: Have your sales fallen off lately?

I love my profession, i have been an architect for a long time. I have seen rough times come and go, but lately it seems i have not sold much at all.

Its a shame that almost everything revolves around us architects, yet we dont have anything we can keep selling over and over. I mean once a player has there lots filled, field made, there is no need to buy more from us. Im not crying as i have other artisan profession to fall back onto.

But it would be real nice to have some type of equipment we can sell, thats needed on a regular basis.

I know this has been talked about before but i would like to see harvesters condition to start dropping each time you pick it up, which cant be fixed by adding a few dollars.

Would like to see future upgrade options and more items that we can build. Add-ons to homes, storage shed, etc..........

I like selling to new players, i dont sell my items to high and i keep a large selection of personal harvesters for the new players. As they cant afford 110-130k for heavies. But at 3-4k a pop its not paying my bills

I also mastered artisan and droid engineer, which is helping out but doesnt come close to the amount of credits i am use to making.

SO how have your sales been?

What is the out look on architects in the future? ( your opinion)

What kind of business do you expect once holo grinding is done with?

What other profession are you or tried to help in rough times?

And what new structures would you like to see or be able to build?

And yes im sure 80% of this has been talked about before- but i have nothing else to do with my architect butt And opinions and feedback are a wonderful thing.

Thanks

Ono'mas

Sales dropped off considerably after the hologrind calmed down.

Since then my own sales have bounced up and down.

Aye, it's real slow for me as well. However, in other threads by our esteemed correpondent, there is movement on the horizon, so all we can do is all we can do

At least on Naritus, it seems that sales have dropped off across the board on professions (with the most likely exception of WS). I've talked to several other profession masters and everyone seems to be down on sales. While there are spurts, there's no guarantee anymore that when I log in I'll even have one sale waiting in my mailbox where there used to be a minimum of 20.

Sales have been really slow. Even though I still do pretty well and get little spurts now and then, I am not having to constantly make items to fill my vendors like I used to.

I expect we will get a few new structures and quite a bit of new furniture items to craft when the space expansion comes out. Most of the furniture will probably be stuff that you see out in the galaxy that we aren't able to craft now, but at least it will be new.

Who knows what will happen after the holo grind. I think we are already experiencing some of those affects now.

I am also a tailor, but I don't sell clothes for business. I just wanted to get a feel for what clothing was available and what colors I could play around with. So I just make things for myself and my guild.

I would like to see new structures like warehouses and actual storefronts. Maybe some new style houses, one's that we can actually customize the look of by adding certain modules onto the house and perhaps even have the ability to paint a house????

People leaving the game in droves, end to hologrinding the demand for resources and related goods, i.e. harvesters, going down has cause the resource marketto bottem out. This makespeopleto not want to use harvesters as much, save for the good spawns. This has an effect of 'left over and unused' harvesters lying around. Not only are the servers deed saturated, but they are in deed excess. The one thing that took most resources in this game, structures, now are not in demand lowers the resource demand even more. This creates a castading effect that kills the whole resource industry, architect included.

So no, it isn't just you, it is the market in general. Once more is known about the space expansion and what resources are needed, people will be stockpiling for that. That means more resources will be in demand and some need for harvesters will increase. However we still have that little 'deed saturation' problem, so it may be a noticable increase in demand, but not a huge increase.

I have to agree that sales are really slow on intrepid. I try and keep 2 of each harv on a vendor, and if Im lucky I sell 2-4 per week. Most of my sales come from my PA, people changing professions trying something new. The pa always comes to me cause I sell chep, 75k for a heavy.

The only people I see buying stuff are those who want to increase their harvestor fleet to stockpile for space. I think as we get closer to space you will see more interest in harvesting materials. Especially once the beta is out, and we start hearing the first resource requirements for startships.

I am hoping that we get more than one new structure for space. But it will probably be just one generic starship factory. I was hoping there would be a resource collecting part to space, extactors you could place on asteroids, or launch into gas clouds, or imgaine solar collects in space. With only 4 space professions I really doubt we get that.

first of, sure sales go downsince nothing decays and ppl got set up.

2nd only stuff which should really decay are harvesters, since they are moneymaker for both seller and buyer.

3rd econmy flooded with low cut products and so with ppl stocked up and got all stuff for almost nothing.

4th more and more ppl play and so u get more architects and more ppl selling same stuff = lesser sales per individual

no furnitures or houses ever should decay then ppl start not even bothering buying them. period (its a fun factor and brings not much)

Oh wow, that is NOT much. I live on Farstar server and I have only been an Architect for 7 weeks, but I can not keep my vendors stocked. I have one on Naboo and one outside Coronet (in a well established shop). I sell about 15-30 harvesters each day. I am having serious trouble keeping the vendors stocked. I started out with low sales about 2-3 harvesters a day but now... my god.

I am not complaining though, it is just soooo much fun.

Note: No, I am not an under cutter. I sell my harvesters at the established going rate.

Sales have pretty much been dead for a few weeks.. I sell maybe 5-6 harvs a day and some white furniture.

My vendor is stocked.. not massivly but it's ok.

I'm thinking of changeing to either a armorsmith or a weaponsmith.. who knows I may even go doc.

I've TONS of resources as I've still been pulling up stuff as always.

maybe it's time for something new? if we got GCW structures i'd hang on maybe.. or I could drop it and re-grind it in 30min

I have seen a significant downturn in sales over the last 6-8 weeks on Infinity. Still enough to make a living as a discrete profession but not enough to become rich
