Thread: Quest proposal to get the other plants schematics

It would be nice if the devs don't want to give us access to the other plants schematics that we would be able to quest for them. I'm thinking of a quest similar to the Bestine's Museum Painting Quest but with a Botanical Garden as the place to start the quest and were we might help its curator to contract other botanists to work for the Garden for a set period of time (1 month). We could also helpharvestsome flora ressources for the curator or the potential botanists for some horticultural genetic experiment. And of course, the reward would be a nice new schematic each month. And yes, it could be a 2 uses schematics. With recyclers, we could easily make 2 factory runs of 1000 plants.

Doyou think this would be a goodquest for us?

Only other thing that I would suggest is that the Botanical Garden be set on another planet beside Tatoine like Rori, Talus or Corellia since Tatoine has already enough quests set there.

Honestly, since we only have 2 plants that we can make, I think it would make me mad if they made more plants as quest items. It's obvious it was intended for there to be more than 2 plants, since both of the ones we craft are labeled with "style one". So I think if they finally add more plants, it's only fair to make them permanent. But otherwise, it's a nice idea I guess. I don't like the painting quest, personally. I think it's boring and time-consuming. lol

Actually, we can make 3 plants, Small potted plant, Medium potted plant and Potted tree. And I am ready to work a little to get something in the game if it means getting something we've been asking for a while now. We shouldn,t always expect free things.

It is too few but if my proposal is the only way to get other plants, I'm ready to work for it.

I, personally, don't see why we don't already possess more botanical schems than what we currently have. As was previously mentioned, the plants we do make are labeled "style one" which makes me wonder where the other ones went.

It's not as though other styles don't already exist in the game either. I see different styles all the time, especially in various Star Ports so I don't see how difficult it would be to give us schems for those plants that already exist in game.

As for quest or non-quest...well when you see how buggered up the Bestine Curator is at this point in the game, it would only be a matter of time before a botanical quest went hay-wire as well.

I like your idea, though it would be nicer for archies to have a long quest where you permanently learn schematics for plants. Have different levels of missions that get you nicer and nicer plants. The up side? Easy to implement in current game and not a lot of coding.

I wouldn't mind more schematics being given for crafter's quests, certainly for larger buildings and such. It could be approached as "studying under a legendary master" or something, so that to build a new City Hall style, you need to craft some other civic structures for NPCs based on what they seem to need. Just an example, of course, there could be better ways to structure such a quest, but I would actually enjoy having some additional quests (not necessarily combat-related) for all the crafting professions. I'm still holding out hope for something in TOW...

I like the general ideas. I just hope the quests are profession-appropriate. I can't see the point of killing and looting to represent learning stuff.

It would beappropriate to acquire planet-specific capabilities through questing on particular planets, especially for flora and building styles. It might not have to be implemented as new schematics; new plant styles could be introduced as final-build variations on existing schematics, like statues and street lights.

Sounds sortalike the RIS armor quest for Armorsmiths. I would very much like that, actually - something interesting to do while gaining something new to make. It would definitely have to be a permanent schem, though, or it wouldn't really be useful for plants/structures.

Maybe like you start the quest getting plant schems and harder ones give you rug schems and the hardest give you the structure schems. And yeah, it would have to be non-combat related, as many crafters are level 1 (including myself). It could be like those "crafter's jobs", where you train by making things and giving them to the crafter job NPC for some money or something (I haven't done one personally, so not sure how much they give you). Or maybe like helping an NPC decorate his house or an NPC mayor decorate his city, and the "legendary master" gives you the schem to make it for them, but you only get the schem if you first find out what the NPCs want and the schem only becomes permanent if you make them correctly for the NPC. Anyways, it would be much fun if the devs did it right.

That's easy. Change the title of this thread to include the following:

1) The word 'Jedi'

2) A reference to any perceived problem with the interaction between the Jedi and Bounty Hunter professions.
