Ok, this obviously is just one step in opening the fs slot. even Q said that it is taking to long for them, so what they are doing is just giving out the part of the recipe so that the people who are close can get it, they probably have the other ingredients in the secret recipe, but just need this last one.

I dunno maybe thats just me, expect to seefs very very soon. And if the other ingredients are half as hard as the first hint we are getting to figure out, then good luck to the rest of you wanting to be jedi.

This forum is so full that I may have missed the discussion about this, so forgive me if I am repeating something. But here is my question/thought....does anyones homeworld say anything other than wanderer? I started on Tatooine and have had a furnished house there for over a month and my homeworld is listed as wanderer (yes, it is my declared residence . It is the only house I have. Just a thought about one possible element to the FSCS maybe finding your homeworld. Let me know if your homeworld is stated and what it says and what you did to get a homeworld.

But has any guild had a member and just given them holos to grind out so that he didn't get anything besides what the holos told him?

I understand this might take a lot of resources and a lot of ppl want to keep the holos for themselves, but this might shed light on if there is a pattern that people must master professions in?

I was simply wondering. I don't know if there are any guilds out there with the resources to do this.

Thanks.

I have read many people who are on the long grind to thier 32 profession. I think we all here have lost the focus of the FS system. I don't think that the devs want us to grind all the professions. Now 8 professions is reasonable. But I think it is not supposed to be more than 10 at most. Maybe the devs felt that they had to tweak the system slightly since everyone was soo far off that they needed to make it so that you can either complete profession after profession, or you can complete you holo professions, then find your silent one. But perhaps like many of us have said before, it may be some other simple factors like visiting all the planets, having (x) amount of badges, etc. I am going to start my holo grind so i can try to test this theory, but if you really think about it, the devs probably never meant for anyone to master all the professions.

Just a thought...everybody that has ever unlocked (except for the first people who had really already unlocked and just had to do something to gain xp of any kindto set off the message) have unlocked after mastering a profession (this being the silent prof of the 4 + 1 theory). Some people have unlocked in 2 weeks of having created a new character and done nothing but grind professions - no quests, no visiting other planets/theme parks, faction, badges other than profession badges etc.

I was jus thinking, for all those Master Pilots out therewho want a Firespray andif you got enough skill points for a respec. How about respec'ing an elite skill to Master Shipwright for a short time, making your own Firespray (buyin the resources for it has gotta be cheaper than buying an 'already-made' one, rite?) and then respec'ing back to ure previous skill. It would save a tiny fortune than buying one an it gives you a Firespray!

What ya think of the idea??

(If pple think this is abusing respec, takea look at what Jedi are doing with building up their templates using respec.)

I was thinking about what would help this professsion as a whole and give it a more involved role in this game when i can up with this. Let me know what you think and if it is a good idea maybe we can get the devs opinion somehow. I am not sure if anyone has put this idea out there before or not.

My idea is that Architects get the ability to craft faction instalations. In this the Architect would buy the schematics from a recruiter much like an AS buys factional armor schems that would have a set number of uses. Not surewhat SOE would decided to make the faction cost and schem use number, but i think since you would be 3 bases for everyone you buy now it should at least have 3 uses. This way it gives the profession a more involved role in the game and the GCW. With this since bases can be destroyed just like now it would generate repeate customers and add business.

I don't think they should change anything else about the bases or the extras that can go with a base like turrets, but with a faction base being an instatation it should fall under the architect profession just like factional armor fall under AS.

Please let me know what you think about this idea and any sugestions as to what might make it better, thanks

The only thing that would make this better is if the devs implemented it. I'd take just about anything on the structures altar.
