So what do you guys think? Is it viable. I respeced to the class for BH, but Im kind of attached to the concept of the class.
Think there is any chance of being useful if I regrind smuggler and keep McM?

I was dissappointed with CM overall. Especially with BH. MCM/MSmug is going to be pretty limited damagewise, but you can probably avoid dying for quite some time.

Msmug/Mranger, that's my money combo, soon as I'm able to actually have that template.

I just enjoyed being the medic...never played a healer in all my years of MMO. Arent rangers going to be rouges after their changes?
and arent rangers hunting us? This is so confusing, how can we make chars that are part of the group that polices us

Rangers aren't doing d*ck to us. That was just some passing thing the devs mentioned as a hey, bet you'll drool over this for a while. Like Capitol ships.

I'm a MCM/MS and it's not bad if you bring an army with you


I have no damage output to speak of and my specials are limited to ranged shot and quickdraw lvl1 =/


BUT! I'm not inthere to be a nuker, since so many people are, and just a plain medic is sooo boring... So I opted for personal mezzing.


Unlike a commando/smuggler who can area root (Which I still find extremely kickass) I have the ability to render a single person incapable of fighting back... almost.


In a duel of me vs an MBH/carbs who had ADKd armor with CAs and AAs and food, spices and buffs and a kickass rifle vs me with my duster and average FWG5, I managed to put up a fight, had I remembered about LD I might have saved face by killing meself rather than letting him smirk at me.


Afterwards he stated that he doesn't look forward to hunting smugglers if it was going to be like this, and I didn't even run away, we just stood there and every now and then I rooted him so I could apply my defuffs.


Afterwards we went hunting krayts and just the two of us managed to kill us a few as well as a few ancients without getting hit, I kept hitting the dragin with movement snares and attack speed debuffs and we kited away.


It's really not as bad as you would think but unless you have a dedicated wookie holding a rifle next to you, you're going to enjoy the use of concussion shot /burst run

I think they looked at the amount of development time as compared to the return on investment that implementing capital ships would have...


And decided to bolster the abilities of POB ships instead.


At first when I saw that they were beefing up POB ships, I was hopeful that it was to better prepare them to go head to head with player controlled capital ships, then reality came and smacked me around.

Personally, I rolled a new toon, and am going fencer/swordsman/dancer.

I'm gonna be a knife fighter that hangs out in the cantinas

At CL3 I already stabbed someone to death, so it's going well

I'm doing this with one of my toons. Mostly because my guild lacks people to rez and such. It also lacks smugglers. I think as long as you know you won't be a huge damage dealer, you're ok. I'll probably not use any auto attack, and just worry about sticking debuffs instead.

I went MS/MCM for two reasons.


1. I always have been and always will be a smuggler.

2. I prefer playing in a group, and I find that good medics are hard to find. A lot of people go medic just to keep themselves alive, but in the heat of group combat, they don't pay attention to the status of other players (they just do their job, usually combat oriented). As a smuggler/CM, I am able to use my crowd control abilities to keep the number of enemies off of my group, and I can keep them alive. This template is only useful if you are a group player. It is pretty weak as a solo template, or if you want to do good damage.

I guess my only concern with this template is what to do with the remaining points. They are going to go into pistoleer. I just can't decide which line I want.
