I am nor sure if this has been brought to your attention yet, but our buddy Tomo is stepping down:

I would clicky it, but tears blind me.

Clear skies Tomo. And if you are truly going for the viking thing, be sure to let me know so I can add beer and pie.

It does and it doesn't.

I'm sure Tomo simply got burned out because he was catching it from both ends.

As a long time Smuggler he still hasn't seen any kind of development of this profession worth mentioning.

As the Pilot Correspondent he has to sit and watch as space is continually minimized to the point that it wasn't even included in the expansion.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

I still can't believe SOE was **edit**ing retarded enough to put in a planet without space. Why the **edit** would they consider the only planet without a space zone a good idea? Freaking idiots.

Thanks, guys. I was going to make a post here eventually, too, but as you may have noticed, things are a little crazy right now.

Both those things certainly contributed to this, Zane, but the main thing is I just don't have the time to devote to the position anymore. I still love the pilot community (as well as this one, of course), and if I thought I had the time it deserves, I wouldn't be leaving. No matter how frustrating things get on either end.

Anyway, I'll be around a few weeks more, so I ain't gone just yet. But I do appreciate the thought. Leaving the pilot and smuggler forums is going to be much harder than I imagined.

I know you probably shouldn't admit it, but somehow I suspect that you would somehow find the time if things were more productive.

I'm not discounting your statement, just saying it's a lot easier to do a job when you get some satisfaction from it. I'll stand up and say that:

1. It is a job, and pretty thankless job at that.

2. There hasn't been any satisfaction for so long on both of the fronts you face that it's bound to begin to bear a heavy burden on your shoulders that you nor anyone else deserves.

Moving and trying to start a new career is still a significant damper on the time front. But after thinking your post over, if I weren't as burnt out for the aforementioned reasons, I expect there's a good chance I'd still be able to balance it all. You write some really smart posts, Zane.

Anyone one who would not only dedicate his free time to wrangling the Pilot community BUT also find time to harrass Keck with such fine products as "Keck's a NooB" blasters is OK in my book.

Remember Tomo, you get a free pass to the Elysian Fields becuase you've already served your time in SWG Hades. Hope you find time to come back and flaunt your "Blue Glowie" status.
