So Im installing SWG on my laptop to play TC...
I used the original disks and had that whole installation montage and I felt so sad knowing none of it was true anymore.

"Be a scout, a medic, a soldier... Or all at once"
"Encouter dangerous creaturs... And tame them"
"Tackle the world of SWG as part of a team... or alone"
"Remember Take the tutorial... the alt button gives you the power to choose... dont be afraid to ask for direction... its now time for the greatest Star wars saga ever told...Yours (sweet pic)"

I know its all about change, but the original system should have been fixed, there was a certain romance to the game back then...

Sigh is the NGE any good?

I played TC a little while ago (hey, I said I'd try it before complaining) and you know, this sucks...

Make no mistake, THIS IS A CONSOLE GAME now. I stayed after the CU because I really loved JTL, but now, they've even changed the ground movement. I don't think I can stay through this...

Im not worried about it being a console game... its just the fun.

Phantasy star online has 4 levels and 4 man groups... and I have played that longer than I have played SWG. It was simple yet addictive and fun. The way Im seeing this is as a mix of swg, morrowind, PSO , and wow. all of which were good games, so maybe something good comes out of it.

Im going to seriously miss the old game, but Ill give the new one a chance. If I dont like it? cancel again

God, yes.SWG WAS a WORLD. The Handicapper General came in for the CU and that world became a GAME. Now it looks like we are further constrained -- SWG has become a CONSOLE game.

Trying to get on to Test to see for myself.

I finally got in. Its a little more like wow.. but the new combat is fun. Its actually more of a hassle because the specials have cooldown times, so instead of just hitting a special we have to prep it first... other than that I was very much impressed with my playtime thus far

I have been on TestCenter twice now ( i think they opend the servers up more) but i really enjoyed the fighting but i'm still worried about actual smuggler content as i haven't got all that high up in Smuggler but i have some hope for this

First glance at the skills, shows me that smuggler will be a dps class, especially since pistol seems more powerful, as range gives no specific benefit that i can see. The styles are really potent. Only thing smugglerish that i think we get is "fencing" which if i am right... just makes it so you can sell your looted junk anywhere.

Im sure that this isnt what smugglers wanted to hear, but thats how it appears at the moment.

Regardless of the downsides of the new system, i really have the feeling like it IS star wars, and alot more action oriented.

#3; never write a post more than 3 paragraphs- unless it a guide
#4; never say "sticky this," others will if its worth a sticky.
#5; in the heading never say "devs please read."
#6; never ask for a rollback, just wont happen.
#7; Never use too many colors.
#8; Avoid quoting quotes of quotations, he said she said who said??

So far that seems to be there idea of smuggling. I've completed all of thefirst missions/quest and such and set out looking for smuggler terminals and the like, so far nothing. I hope they don't try to tell us again that it's on its way. If so; "I have a bad feeling about this..."

Well we honestly haven't seen any of the later profession specific quests (considering a couple of the level 14 ones are borked), so there's hope, just gonna have to wait for the TC-Clones.
