So I, like many of you, went on test and never made it up the ramp. You know what I mean.

HOWEVER-

I DID loot 2 clamps and an ID Chip off of some STs.

I checked their info and all it said was, "You can sell these to a fencer".

We all know two things:

There is no slicing in the NGE

Smugglers ARE Fencers- supposedly anyway.

My questions are:

What do we use these clamps for if slicing doesn't exist?

What are personal Chips used for?

Should I be happy that I held on to some clamps for prosperity's sake (they look exactly the same- and they stack)?

Will the oodles and oodles of Slicing gear I have now convert to these Clamps? Or Personal Chips for that matter?

Anyone?

They are useless loot items, fences are like junk dealers. You sell the loot to them. Nothing more. Also, at level 14 Smuggler gets the ability to sell the loot from anywhere without needing to find an NPC.
