Thread: The Smuggler and his Robo Arm

The words "Lets take on the Droid Army, it'll be easy!" flowed through my mind as I stood on the hot burnt ground of Mustafar as the first wave of HK-47 droids made their way toward me.. famous last words.

We'd been smart, or so we thought, in splitting up into two groups each with a healer/rezzer. I found myself in the group dealing with the droids coming from the north and, aside from one Jedi, was effectively this group's tank, utlising my TKM/Smuggler template and my robo rez arm.

So the fighting started, intense gripping full out bloody combat. Slam, a droid down. Whap, a group member down. Bam, another droid down. And so the process continued for a good 20 minutes and it all seemed to be going perfectly. Sure, atleast 2 people from the two groups of 4 had died but we were successfuly killing everything these droids were throwing at us and I, personaly, was barely even being scratched.

Then the bantha poodoo hit the fan. The droids stopped sending waves to both the west and north areas and instead sent their full force to the North. My small little group suddenly found itself surrounded by over 15 droids and one by one we started to fall. One of the 6 droids targeting me got a lucky knockdown blow and, typicaly as my luck goes, refused to let me get back up until I too died a horrible painful death... or so I thought. The other group, with no droids to kill, came over to assist only to fall to the same fate.

Our group rezzer had a handy little ring on her that called her back to life and slowly, one by one, she brought everyone bacl to life (minus two that cloned and left the fight) and so we regrouped and went back it.

It got harder.

The Droid Commander entered the field and with him came atleast 20 more droids and, yet again, we became overwhelmed and people started dropping like flies. People, that is, except for one lone Smuggler and his robo arm, me.

I found myself surrounded by the limp corpses of my group and the sparking remains of droids. I was being shot at from every conceavable angle and I swear I could see an evil grin on those cold metal faces as they pummelled me with blaster fire.

One chance... and I used it. Suddenly I was laying on my back beside a dead group member with god only knows how many droids standing around me. But I wasn't dead, I was feigned. Fighting back the temptation to giggle and shout "HAHA fooled you, silly droids!" I sat and watched as they demolished the first section of the base we were supposed to be defending and to my amasement cassualy strolled off toward the rest of the base leaving only a handful of droids where I sat.

Leaping back to my feat, I aimed my robo arm at the group rezzer and brought her back to life. She, in turn, brought the rest of the group back to the world of the living and once again we made our attack.

This time things went differently.

Red droid limbs flew in every direction as droid after droid flopped to the ground dead, including the Droid Commander, and suddenly we found ourselves standing triumphantly infront of a successfuly defended (if somewhat damaged) base.

Mission Successful.

Jedi, Bounty Hunters, Combat Medics, Doctors... none of them saved the day. It was all down to a Smuggler and his Robo arm.

Hoshi? I spent the whole last evening hanging around with your gang in your nice brand-new club and you just hand out drinks instead of bragging like heck with this awe inspiring story? Getting modest lately?

if I was to brag about this story in a role play sense I'd have to admit to having a robo arm ... something you wont ever catch H'oshi admitting too
