Lot of folks talking about leaving. Ultimately, that's your call. After the CU, I saw quite a few guildmates leavemy guildand head for other games. For awhile, there were only two or three of us left trying to hold things together in the hinterlands of Lok.
Likemy guild mastertold me once, being left behind sucked.
Problem is, I played Ultima Online for years. Got my fill of sword and sorcery, and can't stomach any more. Discovered that when I tried WoW (secretly), and just couldn't get into it. Kept wanting to hurl whenever I saw a paladin do his thing. I think I'm allergic to fantasy games now.
Ground Smuggler the old fashioned way. Slicing, spicing, and shooting things at close range with my scout pistol and Republic Blaster. Shooting ALOT of things. Ever take on a squill while unarmored with a DL44? Alone and unguilded? Not fun. Run, shoot, heal, do it all over again with a couple trips to the cloner thrown in.

Saw the CU come and with it respec'd smugglers who didn't know a molecular clamp from a laser knife. Many who never saw anything other than the inside of a cantina. Looks like I'll see it again. Along with a lot of other changes. That's life, even online.
Am I in it for the Star Wars feel? Sure! To paraphrase Solo; All I need is a fast ship, and a blaster on my hip.
But it's more than that. I've found a great bunch of people to hang out with, and share experiences and adventures. Can't tell you what I wouldn't do for them. Can't put a price on that. I've managed to find that twice so far, before and after the CU.
Starting to look like I'll have to do that a third time.
I'm a smuggler. Smugglers survive and adapt. Like a stainless steel virtual rat, I've journeyed through many online universes (Federation, Earth and Beyond, Ultima Online), survived many thoughtless devs and creative directors anxious to put 'their' obnoxious stamp on the game, but this time I'm putting the stake in the ground.
I'm staying.
Anybody know where I can score some beer and pie?

Bravo, im right there with you man, i can't take fantasy games anymore, this is my corner and im gonna keep it.

No promises here...I'll stay, but if it's as tired out in the first month as WoW was (I also tried it), I'm out, don't need to waste any more money... and hey now, I found more and more to do after the CU, then again, i never sliced much, just enough to get the experience.
