I noticed in the first FAQ that Tiggs posted that under smuggler that melee is listed *first* as opposed to all the other combat professions having ranged listed first....
• Smuggler = Han Solo
Smugglers make their living dealing with the scum and villainy of the galaxy. While moving stolen goods, having a blaster at your side and knowing how to get out of sticky situations will keep you alive.
Smugglers can fight without weapons as easily as with a pistol. Who knows when a cantina disagreement will get ugly? With the Smuggler's clientele, you would be wise to know how and when to fight dirty.
General Skills:
- Melee Combat
- Ranged Combat
- Dirty Tricks Techniques
Special:
• Fence Goods – allows them to sell goods anywhere in the galaxy
• Tendonslicer – direct damage attack that slows the opponent's movement so that you can escape
I wonder if that means they want smugglers to use melee or be more melee oriented, or if it was just a nifty misplaces item while being typed out?

It will most likely be a few melee skills and skill mods, along with ranged skills and skill mods.

There are other classes with both melee and ranged, I'm guessing Smuggler's going to be no different in that they'll both be viable options. As TH describes it, you use melee where it's applicable and a blaster for everything else

I was primarily commenting on the fact that they'd listed melee first in the "General Skills" area, as opposed to all the other combat professions having ranged listed first.
Since I haven't seen how this all works yet (and TC isn't up with the NGE yet) I guess I'm talking out mah booty anyway.
Just thought it was interesting how they listed it was all, and wondered if there was any special "meaning" to it.
