I am probably going to be late on saying what alot of vets are feeling right now, but I just wanted to get it out. I have played this game for over 2 years. I was there when pub 9 changed the jedi grind. I was there for the Aurillian updates and subsequent FS grind. I was there when the FRS was killed. I was there when the Combat Upgrade hit. I sat back, watched and gave everything a chance. I never flamed, told people maybe it will be for the better. Lets see what things are going to be like. I have seen and done everything there is to do in the game. I stayed on the BRIA server when we had weeks of crashes and rollbacks. We were promised some form or compensation and received something that few of us could use, a transfer to another server(if you weren't FS or JEDI). I have both jedi and FS alt, so I could not use our "compensation"

Now I read that those who never paid for JTL are getting it free. Those who never had to complete the jedi grind are getting a free character. Oh yeah, and now anyone can be an "instant cookie-cutter jedi". Why not give them all perfectly tuned flawless pearls for their lightsabers too?

I understand changing the game and the mechanics. I know the bottom line is the all mighty dollar. You would just like to think that those of us that have been here, been loyal players and taken everything with a grain of salt would get something. I would even appreciate a thanks. But we get nothing. except another slap in the face.

SOE HAS FINALLY ALIENATED THE MAJORITY OF THE VETERAN PLAYERS WITH THIS.

the only thing i'm a little anoyed at is that theyve taken TK out of the game, however its game it evolves lets see how it goes we always new that this was going to happen (jedi getting easier and easier to obtain) i'm willing t see how it goes, i think its quite good to make everyone 'equal' thing is eventually you will reach an entropic state of jedi anyway, their just rolling it out sooner.

The only issue I had with your post was the generalization that everyone who didn't want to finish the FS grind wanted this. Frankly the only reason I didn't get to finish my FS grind is because I couldn't.. I needed to wait till the next phase to get my 6th tree and I would have been done. To be quite honest, I would have preferred the ancient pre-Pub9 system simply because that way when I got my Jedi it could actually mean something. Now I'll just end up being another cookie cutter Jedi in everyone's book, even though I wanted to work for it - just the opportunity was taken from me. So not all new Jedi will have wanted their free Jedi, some just couldn't get to it due to time constraints. Both with the time they started the game, and when the NGE will be implemented.

Beyond that - your post is dead-on. I've been following this game since before it went Live, I just could never get an account till this year when I got my own credit card and could pay for myself (parents hate me gaming). Just from an observationist's stand-point this game has seen better days, so coming from someone who has actually been here the entire time.. it's saddening.

Too bad the NGE is here to stay.. till the next time SOE decides to "Upgrade" the game futher

I did not mean to generalize all players in together. I know there are alot of people that worked hard and were close to finishing the FS grind. I had several friends that also just lost thier chance to achieve something. You just proved my point. Again, SOE has taken away something that would have and could have meant something to people and just made it worthless

I figured you didn't but I always prefer to err on the side of caution and keep things explicitly stated. If not - then we have issues like what SOE is doing, leaving everything said open to interpretation.. hehe

Too bad the NGE is here to stay.. till the next time SOE decides to "Upgrade" the game futher
