Thread: So You Fired Tiggs?

Wow...no one else was posting at times she did. She was dedicated to her job, and the shield for the producers against an upset community. Not an easy job at all.
antares
exactly...
She was answering questions at 3 am Eastern Time after they announcements of the NGE, and still was posting the next morning fairly early in the day. Tiggs showed great dedication to her job.

I know I talked to Tiggs at Star Wars Celebration 3 about a lot of things in SWG but there were things she just couldn't tell because she couldn't say them because of NDAs.

Where did you find this out?
Funny thing, I was actually coming here to complain about Tiggs and this is how I find out.
I'm sorry you feel this way about Tiggs but I was never a fan of her. She was truly tactless about her handling of the community. I was actually coming to recommend that she learn a lesson or 2 from TH.
Thanks for your work Tiggs, but honestly I cannot say I'm sorry to see you go. No hard feelings, just simple opinion. And that is my opinion, I'm not trying to influence anyone with it.
damn thunderheart man, he post less then a person without a forum account. i'd rather have tactless handling and actually getting a response to a empty cold silence from the head dev.
TH was posting less because it was Tiggs' job to do so. I am comparing Tiggs' performance to TH's when he held the same position. Night and day. As I said, I am not trying to influence others, this is my opinion.
I certainly won't miss all the /pounce and stupid stuff like that when we were dying for info. It's all in the wording, for example, in addressing people posting bugs in the wrong thread (these were taken from the front page of DevTracker as I was writing this):
Tiggs: "If it is in the bug thread it will get passed on in the morning bug report. If it is just posted in that forum it will get missed." (after which she locked the thread)
TH: "Would you be so kind as to report that issue here in this thread? Thank you!" (and leaving the thread open)
This is just one example of hundreds of others you can find in DevTracker over the past year or so.
i've watched TH's post, they were useless. all of them. Tiggs has done post exactly like thunderheart as well, but i'm sure yuo missed those becuase your bias.
Yes, her idle chatter with the folks might have been annoying to some, but at least she was in the area. i can't say the same for most devs. Just because it isn't their "job" doesn't mean, they can get away with it without posting the information.
LOL...Dunderhead has been like a damned ramora since he got promoted from "fanboy" to a Community Relations guy. I hated watching her get bashed for having forum fun on her off time.
Don't get me wrong... I have no problem with Devs having fun with us and just chit-chatting... TH does it too. The problem is when you hear nothing at all from them (think last summer) and then all we had from Tiggs was:
- /pounce
- Bug thread, with no follow up replies
- Issues thread, with no follow up replies
- Tuesday tips
- Friday feature
All the while major stuff was going on. Guys, I'm not saying you should hate Tiggs, I respect your opinion of her. I'm just voicing my own, I was not a fan of her. Period. I simply prefer TH. You have your opinion, I have mine.
Now, TH... time to step up though... don't let me (us) down here...
face it, most of the calls about not being able to say anything, were probably from people higher up. we'll never know. seeing a dev, isnted of never hearing from one, is a completely different thing. lack of communication in any form, gets people killed.
I'll not state what I think, and instead think it sufficient to state the following:
I decided to resubscribe to see if I could look beyond the issues I had with SOE / LA after the Combat Upgrade Fiasco. After this my subscription will not be renewed.
I would've been less surprised if she had quit. Now that I think about it though, SOE have a handy scapegoat don't they? It's pretty easy to blame the public relations person for the fallout in public relations caused by absolute stupidity and alienating behaviour from the company. I didn't have much to do with Tiggs on the forums, but she was certainly VERY helpful on chat. Which is a damn sight more than I can say formost of the CSRs on there. She actually answered questions and kept up with what was happening in chat..... /sigh, another valuable resource gone.
Good luck in your future endeavours, Tiggs, sorry to see you go.
Wow, gotta say I'm suprised. I hope Tiggs can still log in the forums and read all the posts of those of us who will be very sad to see her go. I can't imagine they'll find anyone to do her job as well as she did. TH definately wasn't as dedicated as Tiggs when he had the position.
Whatever went down Tiggs, I hope you land on your feet. You deserve much better then a firing. I guess the only confirmation we'll ever have is when they announce her (inadequate) replacement. With all the crap Tiggs took, I'm suprised she didn't quit long before now.
Can't say I envy whoever her replacement is. That position took enough slack from the Tiggs Haters. Now they'll also have the Tiggs lovers to deal with too.
Believe it guys.

i won't believe it until i see a real announcement, if this is true its BS man. tiggs rocks, damn these people.
Believe it
And you got this information where?
Ehh..a source reliable enough for me not to doubt it. If Tiggs posts on the forum telling you she isn't fired you'll know my source was wrong. It isn't though.
