I do have to say though that its quite an impressive thing that they decided to announce this the day after the expansion came out that everyone paid $30 for. You can just imagine if we knew this two weeks ago that the only people on Mustafar would be folks without a guild who don't read the forums.

The bright side is that I'd been debating deleting my alt... seems they've decided for me.

The thing that most bothers me about this general concept is that it once again means... no Smuggling. Though it does make me wonder if this was the new content we were told to look for in November.

...so this is why we can't smuggle and we will not EVER smuggle in this game ?!!!


...so this is why Wes got buttock-intrusion-like-answers that cleared nothing at all?


...so now I can play only smuggler unable to smuggle fight or produce anything and his only task would be running away from SPY--->ranger with a friggin package?!!!


...so now I have to give up my smuggler/artisan and my friends: smuggler/dancer, smuggler/shipwright and probably many other classes that people come up with that allowed to have fun?


...so now I'll be stuck in one way DIABLO likechar development system with DIABLO like immersive my ARSEcombat system = click left to hit click right to change spells? ...oh sorry.... SPECIALS ...no wonder they ripped of the CUBE in new expansion from DIABLO...


...so I have sign up for SWG paid for it and I get to play DIABLO rip off ?!!!


...so now that Jedi is starting profession BH/JEDI balancing would be the only thing devs would look after and we can forget about smuugling not to mention smuggling in space?

Actually, if you think about it, 30 professions was far too ambitious. in concept it proved to be nice, in reality, it proved to be too much for them to be able to balance.


They've done away with the Alpha class...you all should be rejoicing, as this will revatilize GCW. Yes this does lend to cookie cutter like professions, but you know what, if it becomes fun to actually PVE or PVP, then so be it.


Not to mention, the smuggler class was spared. As it stands, we stand a good chance of actually being able to Smuggle.


No Player Bounties, yeah, that's kinda disappointing, but it's not like SOE/LA has never changed their mind's before now is it.


It would be nice to be able to have at least "1" additional character, but if not *shrug* So long as there is content for my Smuggler, that wont be much of a problem.


I'm all for this, in fact, i'm more likely to pay an extra $15 a month for a Trader or a Spy character.

Let me put it this way:
ONE profession ONLY.
NO dabbling at any level.
NO balanceing of one's abilities with other professions.
NO chance to take up a new profession at a larer date.

AND 4 alts.

And balance? Part of the problem with the game's fricking balance in the first place was from FOTM templates. That's easier to balance from a programming standpoint if everyone's only rolling with one prof.

AND, just think, Jedi will have NO particular advantages in a twitch based system... It's mostly skill. I'd say 75% of them are FOOKED. This makes me happy.




And 4 alts? Tiggs have been posting all over the board that it is still 1 character per server, with the exception of the actual Jedi who unlocked their second slot and will keep it.

Well, I'm still here, and plan on seeing this new baby through it's birth and teething stages before I make any decision. To be fair, Planetside rocks as a game, so a little more of that kind of combat suits me fine. And hey, on the bright side, we may actually get to smuggle something at last.

Saying that, it's not all roses. More than one character slot per server would be great. Don't see why those not interested in Jedi grinding should be punished, while certain individuals "get twice the service for the same monthly cost".
