True.These are cold hard facts that the Devs themselves posted in a public, open forum on their own accord. They may not like Caylin's comments on them, but like he said...it's their own fault.


As for...earlier comments in other threads...he is still a player and NOT an employee of SOE. Otherwise his IQ would have lowered a good 100 points at the least. And by him still being a paying player, he's intitled to his own opinions and views so long as he doesn't break any agreements about him telling us what's in store for the revamp or other things. He can still have his own views and opinions about anything. Let's not bring up StGabe's infamous thread about PCSmuggling. He's a correspondant and was intitled to talk about things like that.


I know, Geevo, that you aren't implying that Caylin is going to get in trouble...but I want to provide my own opinion on the matter before anyone takes certain comments the wrong way.

One more thing Caylin, if they give you grief about telling us what you have told us, tell them our negative feelings would have happened regardless. At least you telling us stopped any foolish optimism on our parts. I hate to have had ahope for player smuggling and download the patch one day to find I can now set my slice window up in one of 4 colors.

an apology would be nice. I guess they thought no one was listening to what they were saying.



26 August 2003 - Devs make their first detailed promise to overhaul the Smuggler profession.

27 September 2004 (03:10 PM) - Smuggler_Caylin tells fellow smugglers that he is stepping down as Smuggler Correspondent.

I generally try to be an optimistic person when it comes to this game, but this post is just about as depressing as it can get. It makes me want to go drink...



Also, dont forget to add the following: (1) Runesabre's declaration that they are breaking panic shot on purpose and that theres nothing we can do about it; & (2) The announcment declaring that we wont be smuggling... ever.

Is anyone looking into City of Heros? It would be kind of neat to see some familar names on that game. I'm really thinking about picking it up.

It's posts like this that caused to SOE to shut off public access to the forums. Not over emotional rants... just factual presentations of what they've done. I hope everyone that's considering picking the game up after the JTL announcement comes here and reads this thread.

Seriously, this timeline should be included in a pamphlet taped to the box of every SWG game on the stands. I know it'll never happen, but that's how I feel.
