I've no clue how you know her familial situation but I agree.. she has done SOE more of a service than they've ever done themselves and she definately deserves better than this.

The corporate world doesn't take into account what your home situation is when they make these decisions. It doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is whether you fit into your job and whether you are doing it in a manner acceptable to your boss.
It's one thing I always say to my friends and students alike. "In the big wide world, no one will look after you, you must look after yourself". Sad but this is a fact of life.
SOE may be viewed as heartless but they are no different from any other organisation.

I've sat and listened to thousands treat her like satan himself over and over.
I suspect she flipped off the entire SOE organization and orchestrated her own dismissal....
