If talking requires lying, I'd just as soon the person not speak in the first place. I'm sure she's a wonderful person personally, but she did us as many disservices publically as people say she did good things one on one.
I refer to the no new content speech & two weeks later the expansion notice and then the scandal over the Starter Kit that you can see side by side here. If someone knows they are being forced to lie to the customers again and again, they should quit the job if they can't negotiate to get the company to do the right thing.
Personally, I hope she quit because she couldn't stand SOE screwing us over anymore at her expense. More power to her if she did - and if they did fire her and it was because she said no to more forced B.S. - more power to her again. I'm sure she can find a better job that's not as demeaning as this one.

right and being the DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC RELATIONS has no bearing on writing or understanding what she is putting out to the public, TIGGS is gone and that is that........
I'm not sure Tiggs lied about the starter kit and no new content. It could very well be that she put out the words that she was told to put out, and had no more information than the rest of us.

Thanks Saego. I wish ppl would think about things like this before they accuse someone of lying.

regardless of who told who to say what, it was still lies AND we heard it from her. She lied, doesn't matter why, she just did.

when you're getting paid for it, you're the accomplice, not the martyr.

Not true. Remember the McDonald's Hot Coffee case years ago? Well, even if you don't...
That idiot who sued McD's sued the company...not the employee that handed her the cup even tho that employee was on McD's payroll.

did you do the followup to support that argument to find out whether the employee who did it was fired or not? And yes, the employee would also be liable too if they would've pursued it.

My point remains. The lady dumped it in her lap, not the employee. The lady complained that cup was too hot and not properly labeled. The employee was not responsible for labeling the cup "hot," McDonald's was responsible. Now, is Tiggs responsible for her "lies?" No. Legally, NO. Morally, NO.
You want to get upset about "lies" go to the source. Tiggs wasn't it.

so if I said that you smell and weigh 500 pounds I'm not responsible if my buddy told me to say it? sorry for the childishness of that example but get the point across well.

Hmm fortunately, I'd know the truth in that case...but it depends.
Did your buddy pay you to say it? And did you believe it when you said it?

I did read on the forums that NGE was kept from most on staff until a week before the announcement. My guess is this included community relations people first and foremost since they are the liasons to the public. Did tiggs know about the 'experience' package? I highly **edit**ing doubt it...Why you ask? Because she could have easily ignored those forums posts as readily as SOE ignores 99 percent of all forums posts. The fact that she even posted that information should be enough, given SOE's history, to let you know that she was unaware. SOE does not lie, they misdirect, as has been the flow of communication since the start of the game. C'Mon people. If you have been around, you know better. Tiggs did not lie, she was completely uninformed.
